Wordpress self hosted blog
Can anyone guide me how to shift from a wordpress.com blog to a self hosted blog. Actually i wanted to make a website of my own having a blog linked to it.
You need a domain that you can buy from godaddy.com or name.com,hosting from hostgator or anyother company,install wordpress in it,its a one click install with top hosting providers so dont worry about this.
Now just export your blog from wordpress.com>>in your dashboard>>left side>>settings>>export
import it to new installed wordpress>>if you wish site linked with blog install wordpress in yourdomain.com/blog
I have already exported my blog to local host and installed wordpress. I am currently using wamp server. Can you please guide me about about buying domain.
for that I will suggest you to go for www.name.com where you can get freewhois as well
Just go to site create an account>>search for the domain and check if its available or not>>if its available>>purchase it via the payment option that suits you
