Who are the best bloggers in different categories according to you ?

I would vote for Arti ( My Yatra ) & Dhiraj ( Team G Square ) in travel category.  In the Business category Shrinidhi Hande & Mohan from Bangalore are amongst the best.  In photoblogging my vote would go for Rajesh Prabhu & Joshi Daniel.  Purba Ray and Shrinath Vashista in Nation and current Affairs, There are many other categories which i am throwing open for selection by multitude of bloggers, i have multiple other choice of bloggers in different categories but refrain from disclosing......no prizes declared lest it calls for another selection panel and sponsorer.  It is pure and impartial choice of blogging community....maybe a virtual recognition will satisfy our need for recognition.

Oh Yeah!

And the award for the most stupid fickle-minded outrageous insane blog goes to The Xeno!

[clap clap]

Now comes the others.

Best Travel blog : ARTI

Best photography blog : Joshi Daniel

Best Raw-Humor blog : TYS

will add more when i've made up my mind.

While this is an excellent thread for Indi newbies to get info on the best in each category summarize, I believe the objective of a blogging community like Indi is to help, appreciate and learn from fellow bloggers. Is it a good idea to pinpoint particular blogs as best and stoke a competitive attitude?

umesh derebail

@Sulagna @Dhruva this thread meraly helps all of us who are already here, what other people are reading.. and yes, to tell some unlucky ppl as 'me' and 'umesh' that we are not being read Tongue out.. lol...

I think its not about pin-pointing, its really about what others are reading. Not everyone will have a same list of blogs, so its good to see and know what others appreciate. REading always improves one, which ever way we come across it.. all of this just medium.

My name used to appear regularly as a top blogger in Social category for many months. Out of curiosity, prompted by this Frum Post I checked out. I have slipped to medium position. However, acitivity in my blog has been highest for the past two months but Indiblogger has its own methods of deciding things. I blog only on Senior citizens Issues. Why should others - mostly youngsters - interested? Understandable. My job is to keep doing what interests fascinates me.

Adhokshaj Bellurkar
from Mumbai

I don't think you should be worried by the fact that young generation is not interested in the senior citizens issue. It would be similar to expecting Senior Citizens to head bang on Linkin Park songs. What I mean is, different things different age groups and as you rightly pointed out,  you should just continue doing what you like.

The opinions expressed here are only by certain age group and also certain groups of people who know each other and they are in no way a measure of the quality of your content. Si if people choose a blog here, it means it is good, but if it is not chosen here; does not imply otherwise.

:)

I'm not sure if I can name a particular blog that has fascinated me in totality (except mine maybe Tongue out) but there has been many, many instances of beautiful writing that has captivated me. Here's my list of posts that I cn remember rite nw to have really mesmerized me:

  • I simply love most of Purba Ray's writing. I really loved her one on Bhaiyya, where she dealt with so many angles of the topic so well and all with her characteristic trademark humor.
  • I like Pramodji's writing for the sincerity, good will and earnestness he brings into them.
  • I love many of joshi's pics for not just what meets the eyes but what the picture creates in our minds when we see it.
  • From my own stable, this is my current favorite (I wake up in the morns n read this with a smile Smile) but my masterpiece (Smile) is this baby

There r a lot of posts which have really caught me fascinated tho cant remember nw. Bacardi shud help me jog my memory. Laughing

Indiblogger has a bunch of supertalented bloggers... to name one or two would not do justice to others who are unique in their  own genre n way of writing. I like the blog of mayank austen sufi who writes thedelhiwalla.com and dhiti, a painter from Geneva... I do not think they are here on Indiblogger but do deserve to be mentioned :)...

Hemal i am sure she will come back with a bang, i believe only one individual will not do to convince her, i feel a group of individual bloggers should convince her.  She had a long conversation with me on private message, and she seemed to have taken a break after her bitter experience with one blogger.  Now it is high time to bring back the Star.  Let me also try to convince her, pl mobilise others to join the bandwagon Hemal good luck

I am speechless reading about your love and support and care and appreciation for my little efforts.

I can justify time on FB, we can share news or articles we like directly on FB and discuss on that link and I can add my personal opinions too. Also status update is simple means to convey many things. It is not intentional, but it is something that become natural and inevitable to keep FB on. It helps a lot to spread the news on national issues and spread the awareness. But one thing you might have noticed. I have stopped chatting on all the sites and from last week I am not much active on FB also. Don't know why, but can't manage time to take part in disscussions here.

I am really sorry, that I couldn't come. Please don't think that I am not coming intentionally. When I will be in some tension free stage, I will try to be active.

And  I am following more than 100 blogs, don't know how to reach all, but try to read them. Just yesterday, Geeta and me was discussing, how badly we miss all the fun, we used to have here. But she is also very busy.

Umeshji thanks a lot for your appreciation for my article on Swami Ramdevji Maharaj. Just wrote, what I noticed, after attending his shivir.

Many of my political articles are becoming controversial and I had to face personal attacks also for my writing. So last two months were too bad, to manage all these things.
