How many bloggers really write the truth in their blogs? Or is the content slightly changed to look better ?

Are you talking about blogs sensationalizing a subject? I've not seen much of that. Most bloggers stick to the truth - the only occasional addition being the personal point of view and some emotion, which is perfectly fine for a blog! Smile

Blogs are there to express personal feelings so its ovious that people will express their opinion

i think bloggers mostly stick to the truth but of course its their version of things. Perhaps not all will agree with it. But it's their blog after all!

@Renie Ravin: I dont mean sensationalising a subject. I meant the content of the blog. :) A bloggers kahani, blogger ki zubaani  :) Thank You for your reply

I think a little bit of exaggeration makes the blogs a whole lot more interesting. Who wants to read about how many spoons of surf I add while washing my clothes? Wouldn't you be more interested if I did something wrong and ended up having a pile of clothes with silver dust all over it?? (Btw, thats what my recent post is about - Sadly, it was true.)

@ Renie: But the second you add your personal opinion, doesn't that stop making it the truth?

I don't think any blog ought to stick to the truth because that would make it a news website (well, not Indian news at any rate, they don't undertstand the concept of neutrality). I am a big fan of  Gizmodo and PSD and I don't think they stick to the "truth" at all. Everything they write is coloured and opinionated and that's what makes them brilliant, which is exactly what Renie and Hakuna Matata said too (btw, was looking for a link to the story... throw it in there.. shameless self promotion is good)

@Mad: I think bloggers should make the effort NOT to be neutral. There are enough blogs that offer every side to the story. You will stick to blogs where the opinion/thoughts match yours and won't stick to the others.

What say?

That's true. Ofcourse writers stick to the truth but twisting it a little to make it more interesting is no harm if it can bring you a huge audience.

Bloggers have to write the truth (I dont think that adding a personal perspective makes a blog false or something).. I mean, if the blog about something which is not true, then it will lose its credibility and readers will stop coming.. So, in that way bloggers do have to write the truth or be doomed to mediocrity..

मेरे कई ब्लोग हैं -

मेरा मुख्य ब्लोग यह है

http://jaihindi.blogspot.com

http://printf-scanf.blogspot.com

इसमें मैं सी प्रोग्रामन भाषा का ट्यूटोरियल लिख रहा हूं। इसमें भी झूठ नहीं है कहीं।

मेरा तीसरा ब्लोग केरल पुराण है -

http://keralpuran.blogspot.com

इसमें मैं एक मलयालम साहित्यिक कृति - ऐदीह्यमाला - का हिंदी अनुवाद प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूं। तो इसमें भी झूठ की कोई गुंजाइश नहीं है।

well in return of this post i have posted a new question in forum under General category and off topic. You will get u replies easily.

Most of my posts in my Hindi blog are a result of my interactions with real-life persons. I try to include a real-life event in the post as far as possible. This enables me to say out my thoughts more effectively, and the reader is also "engaged" (I hope). However, people's privacy is also important. I never mention anybody's name in my blog, unless I'm praising them. Sometimes I post pictures of my friends, but even then I always take permission from them via email, and I always send them a link to the blog post that includes their picture. This enables me to have a good balance between posting reality and preserving privacy.
