Mostly weekdays. We blog about something when we come across something write worthy. And mostly its in the weekdays you get to spend more time on the internet. At least I do. And ofcourse sometimes in the weekends.

@ Anitha : Indiscipline + getting work done = Discipline + fun LOL .. which means we always have that little bit extra time to get everything else done!

This is an interesting question.

I post posts early in the morning at around 8 am, and also at 7 pm on week days, and during weekends or holidays I post posts a little late, say 9 am, and also at any time during the day.

My logic for doing this is as follows.

My blogs are all in Hindi and my main way of promoting my posts is through getting them listed in Hindi blog aggregators like chittajagat, blogvani, narad, etc.

These aggregators display the posts on their front pages as soon as I post them on my blog.

But these posts don't remain on their front page for long. As soon as another blogger posts a post, my post shifts down on the page and eventually vanishes into a second or third page.

A page of chittajagat or blogvani can accommodate at most 20 posts. So any post remains on its front page for only about half an hour.

It is advantageous for me to have my posts on the front page at a time when most Hindi readers would be looking at chittajagat, etc., which I have estimated to be early morning, before they leave for work, or late evening when they would have returned home and relaxing before their computers.

I don't know whether this logic is sound, but I have noticed that my posts that have been posted at around these times get more comments, whereas those of my posts which I have posted at other times have much fewer comments.

I also use a mean trick to give my posts visibility, which I thought I will share with you.

After posting a main article at say 8 am, I post a small tidbit at say 2 pm. This is picked up chittajagat, etc., and is immediately shown on their front page.

The advantage is, when a reader clicks on this tidbit, the page of my blog is displayed, which has below this tidbit, also my main article of the day, which otherwise will not be seen by the reader, for it would have disappeared into page x of chittajagat, etc.

Ain't I smart? Wink
