Hi,

I have two blogs in all. I posted my blogs for review but no one reviewed. lol. What to do in that case? Does this question of mine qualify as another request for reviewing my blogs? I am a total beginner at this.

Ashwin and me are jus fighting over this issue :p

And we have arrived at the end of the tunnel and seeing lights ;)

and btw ,

Tip no 1 : Give your link in this topic. It wud make it much easier for lazy bumbs like me to instantly hit your blog url rather than having to go to your profile and find it :)

Anyways I am going to review your blogs. Smile

Mine is: http://www.buildwealthinindia.blogspot.com

Please review.

@ Vijay

Dude , you are posting in K****ij's post that no one is reviewing your blog and asking to review the same

But ..

Don't you think , you could have reviewd K****ij's blog and inturn he would have done it too for you.

All you want is your blog to be reviewd but not take an effort to do the same for others *sighs* for once I think Ashwin is right on selfish bloggers ..

What goes out , comes back too.

Hey no fair! I've reviewed people's blogs. And put in a small one line request to review mine too. I've got just 2 reviews, 1 is from a friend while 1 from an indiblogger. Everybody wants reviews, but nobody reviews back. So I stopped reviewing blogs..

Ks h i t i j,

Your name will not show properly coz of one of the best known bloopers of technology. While this is done to prevent the use age of bad words. In your name, S H I T is the term that the backend is trying to change. Fair enuf from the side of Admins so that they can make this forum bad word free.

For example, C L A S S I C will change to Cl***ic. A pheonemon that is commonly known as "C L B U T T I C"  mistakes where the term A S S is changed to B U T T, which was made famous after the software automatically changed the US president's speach on the US Gov website.

The best way to get more reviews on the blogs is to review other's blog.

What you need to ensure is that, you should ask the blogger to review your blog too... and at times, even the experienced bloggers to review the blogs..

I am sure that Blog Reviews hasnt got attention it used to when every one could ask for a review on the general Forum.

A wake up call to everyone on the forum should do the trick.

@Renie Can we set up monthly, or bi-weekly emailers to all IndiBloggers on the latest activity on the forum, including the blogs that are put up for review?

I agree with Hemal, this issue needs some attention may be we could select a blog completely randomly everyday thus highlighting it... so that everyone is urged to review it!

The blog word works on the principles of back scratching and certain stages.

Do you know the stages ?

Some guidance here- http://udtahaathi.wordpress.com/2009/08/07/bloggers-life-cycle/

Saurabh - I'm guilty of thinking the title of your blog was boring! I thought, 'who cares, about the stuff someone learnt today?'. Luckily, I did visit your blog, and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Blogrolling you, so I don't miss out on any more posts. Cheers..!

I agree with Hemal... one has to review another's blog, or atleast post a link to the blog, if you expect a review.

It would also be nice to have a small description (like how Karthik has given) so as to make it more interesting for other bloggers.

But please allow the reader to judge. For eg., don't say, 'this is the place where I rave and rant and pour out my woes'. Not many people would be interested in that. Rather, say 'This is where I discuss the funny things in Life' or something that interests the readers.

YOU ARE YOUR BEST ADVERTISOR!!

Regarding the Indirank...it is a combination of factors and not ONLY writing skills, so don't feel bad if you rank falls.

Btw, regarding the 'insinuation made in jest'... if a 'pretty girl' posts a request for review, it is you guys who rush to do the review, ain't it? So why don't you help each other the same way?

Me off to review some of the blogs now!

Cheerio!

And Happy Diwali!!Cool

Mr.R - Gingerchai.com - Intriguing name of your blog, and wide variety of articles covered. Makes an interesting read. Regarding the format, I probably prefer the traditional layout, as this one seems a little confusing. That ofcourse, may be just my fault! Good going!

udtahaathi.wordpress.com - Not sure if you were even looking for review, but then, its free ;-) I loved your blog. Great quality of writing. Good presentation. And ofcourse, great choice of name and header/headline too.

Kartik - http://www.allifeel.wordpress.com - Substantial work on fiction there, and enjoyed reading a couple of your stories. Could do with some editing and tweaking, though. Would suggest that you sign up on the various Writers Forums on Ryze.com so that you get more exposure to fiction.

Ks h i tij - dusht-ka-drishtikone - At first the title in 'Hindi' put me off, as I don't quite understand stories in Hindi. But then a visit to your blog, made it totally worth the while. Liked the range of topics..the mundane things that you make stories out of. Fascinating. Again, like I suggested (humbly) to Kartik, join the Writers forums and get your stories reviewed by pro's in the field. Work on your titles and edit your posts. For eg., 'Unlimited Dosti' would sound more attractive as 'Dosti Unlimited'. Just a suggestion!

Vijay R - buildwealthinindia - This is one of the rare themed blogs I've seen. Usually, blogs that are more generic in nature get more popularity. Well, what can I suggest? I have no clue on finance. Would only say - Move to Wordpress, make your blog more attractive, and post links to many famous bloggers, so that people would get to know about your blog and visit you.

Alhuwalia - I am so sorry I did not understand your blog. I guess the layout threw me off track. As for Vijay's 'jestful remark' - I have to let you know, that some of the very BEST bloggers I've read/am reading, are male! They are extremely witty and their writing, incisive! So yes, good blogs, mostly become popular.

Guys!

The best way to get your blog noticed is to visit a bunch of blogs and add them to your reader so you can keep track of them. Comment and offer your feedback and the blogger will do the same thing in return.

Also, I don't think bloggers discriminate by gender, your words will speak for itself in the blogging world.

Also remember 75% of your readers do not comment on your blog until they know that you've been commenting regularly on theirs...

Am sure you guys write what's closest to your heart! My best wishes to you all!

Peace!

Archie
