We poets write out the things we percieve from our surrounding. Inspirations are all around may it be a blazing sun or a tiny particle. situatiins , experiences and emotiins are a great contribution.

Thanks.

That's something, friend Shraddha, I'm glad to meet a fellow poet on this journey!

Hi Xavier,

Inspiration is all around, day to day, insignificant experiences can seed poetry/writing.  There are lean periods where one gets stuck, or produces stuff that's not satisfactory. Personally, I find not obsessing about writing helps. Reading helps, walking outdoors can help too sometimes, a break from the routine of writing.  A true poet and his poetry can't be separated for long :) all the best with your writing.

What inspires me to write?

The thrill of expressing myself in a way I have never known before.

The joy of seeing my own reflection in written words and sentiments sourced somewhere from within.

The satisfaction of helping people who are on a similar journey to mine.

The happiness of creating, building and nurturing something on my own.

That's a good question, Xavier! I am a travel blogger, not a poet but I think as bloggers, deep down we are all poets... just that our ways of expressing poetries are via different mediums. Just a thought. Good luck with yours! Smile

The two ends of life - pain and happiness - and anything in between - inspires.

The best of my poems come out when I am facing a deep emotion. It can be anything from happiness, love, pain or even anger... when it's very intense, the words spill out.

A complex question... because anything from money to applause could be the reason for many of us. Though the real writer within isn't bothered about these things as all that matters is having given lines (in words or the sort that a painter or an artist does) a worthy reason to exist.
