Alert on closing the window if one has composed a reply but hasn't posted it
I had typed a long essay but just before posting it, I hit the close button and my reply was gone. 
Wouldn't it be good if a dialog pop ups asking if wants to close the window when one has composed a reply but not posted it?

forums like vbulletin and xenforo have a save feature where it temporary stores that message of that particular thread as long as you don't close that tab. That's a better workaround. pop ups are so....90s.
as you don't close that tab.
Tab or browser? 
Storing it till you close your browser will not work when you accidentally close your browser 
I thought it was browser's script which stopped us from closing
