Alexa ranking reset? [Partly]
So, I was following Alexa rank changes of more than 5-6 active, daily updated websites. Alexa updates the rank every 24 hours, based on the cumalative result from the performance of last 3 months. But, since last couple of days, the update had stopped happening. My website had a global rank of 729,828 while India's rank of around 31,000. Similar were the ranks of websites I was following. This, morning I woke up to find that the rankings had reset, and some of the websites did not have country rank, and there was a good/bad change in their global ranking. Mine, got better :), while some were affected by 2-3 lakhs rank in Global.
So anyone else facing the same situation?
I doubt this has something to do with some reset. Alexa ranks websites on the basis of comparision of their performance now and three months ago, and also on the basis of other's website's performance, now and three months ago. This might result in quite drastic changes a number of times.
