Google devs at Chromium are discussing to notify non HTTPS traffic as insecure in 2015.

Would it mean that normal http blogs will be removed from search or will it just be marked insecure with a warning.  Give your thoughts and comments on Google devs latest move to do so.

I just hope that does not happen. Https doesn't work for my blog, so that will be bad. Google is taking a wise step when seen towards the safety of users: but well, i think google will do something for blogs?? Innocent

This will not happen..If this will happen, then many will stop blogging. Https may become an important factor for ranking.

As far as I understood, instead of the page icon

http://prntscr.com/5hi4m5

some other icon will be displayed. Nothing to worry. Tongue out

The post talks nothing about search rankings.

And in case, anyone has doubts about https, http, ssl and tls, you can ask me. (Not that I know what they mean, but as you probably don't know their meaning, it doesn't matter whether my answers are right or wrong. Money mouth )

But still it will increase resource usage on your server. And you also need an IP address. (VPS, shared hosting won't work) (I know that both of you have VPS hosting... just saying :P )

Why Ranjith, the services given by the host support SSL then why do I need extra services???

@Rajni..

VPS does have dedicated IP.. So primary domain wont have much issue.. But yes, more RAM may be required and that is something I have to pay for Cry
