About Review Requests
As you may have guessed, I'm new to IndiBlogger.
Something has been bothering me about people who post "review my blog" requests on the forum.
8 out of 10 people don't bother to return to check if their blog was reviewed. Out of the two that do, one will simply respond with "thanks for your feedback", but that's it. Two weeks later I'm still waiting for changes to be made. Only one person actually takes feedback seriously and makes changes.
Makes me wonder if I've been wasting my time trying to help out.
Have you had similar experiences?
You're not the only one. But if you review tech blogs only, the amount of garbage may overwhelm you and discourage you from doing so. People just copy/paste/re-write press releases and without even having something in their hand (let along testing), they convert a specification table into a review.
The issue is not the quality of the blog; it is the lack of seriousness that bothers me. Sometimes it appears as though people are only interested in publicity, not improvement. See what I mean?
