Not Just Any Review...
Under this topic I would like to ask two questions to all Indibloggers especially the compulsive reviewers and critiques,
1.What areas do you focus on (is it in any particular order/priority) when you review a blog site.
2.What areas do you think, ideally should be focussed on (again in what order/ priority) when reviewing a blog site.
When I review / read a blog, I just take the whole scene in. A blog should look neat. Then comes the contents. And then followed by the style of writing.
I normally ask the blogger to provide his favorite article. Then I give my comments on the article.
I don't much care for aesthetics. I give more importance to content and originality.
I do not review blog but just read. I give more importance to content, than the layout and design part. But of course a neat, clean and beautiful template makes reading more pleasant. I look more for experiences than for information on the blog, so generally I do not read technical blogs... just my choice, nothing wrong in those blogs. The easiness of the language (simple, non technical, clear) also helps me to enjoy the blog.

I guess, everything matters ina blog! I mean the apperance, his teblogging knowledge, his passion, creativity etc. Some time some of the most lame topics can be written wonderfully and sometime even though the blogger has something important to tell, he fails! So it is important to see an overview to rate the blog rather than just concentrating only on content or say apperance or how well he has techniclly managed. If you ask me personally then i would say a simple page (even with no formatting) with a wonderfully written article is enough to kick any technically strong/content weak blog!
