Why Female Bloggers Get more reviews than male bloggers?
Whenever I go to Blog review section I feel that Female bloggers gets more reviews than male bloggers. I can rarely see a male blogger getting more than 20 reviews. But almost all female bloggers gets a minimum of 20 reviews. But we can only name a few male bloggers who gets such a number of reviews? Why this difference occurs? Is it like women are more good than male in blogging? or Is it like the blog's of men are not worthy enough to review?
If u say women bloggers are more active... why cant they review for male bloggers? ofcourse they do... But when taken a ratio it seems very less...
Well Shankar there was a similar discussion about 2 months back on Indiblogger forum itself just chk that one out I think you'll get very interesting 'answers'

even 50% wont do yaar we need much more and there should be a ceiling on the females blog for comments reviews following etc. so male bloggers somehow catch the attention of other male (possibly female) members!!!!
Thought provoking, daring topic indeed, i wonder any men ever showed such a level of courage to stand up against mighty women and demnd for their fundamental rights as us - the followers of this thread.
I ask why the most prolific of women bloggers in this forum are also quiet on such a serious social issue ... Pure reverse-chauvinism it is i say..Do you think all the men out there who are reviewing your blogs currently do it because they are genuinely interested in what you write? No way! they are using it as a stepping stone ladies, stepping stone..dont you realize? Dont fall prey to any of them I say, Instead come to us, we will review your blogs hereafter...we are men too, but much decent men..(and that also doesn't mean we are 'dostana' type men as well, we are straight ...in every sense, including blog reviewing)
(Disclaimer: I have commented at 2 - 3 women blogs, mailed one as well thanking her for visiting my blog when my readership was zero. To the best of my knowledge, I never reviewed a female blog and will never do so as well, brotherhood, its time united we stand for our own rights..whatever they are).
ha..ha..santosh.... watch out... ur going to receive lots of criticism.... U might like this... go for this link...http://ballat.blogspot.com/2009/06/women-biased-society.html
I received a lot of criticism for this topic...
Interesting to see the scarcity of female bloggers on this thread
yes..theishu..very mysterious... http://ballat.blogspot.com
यह तो लड़को की मानसिकता की वजह से है. वो तो लड़कियों के ब्लॉग पर ही लपकते हैं...वरना उनका सोचना कि क्या धरा है लड़कों के ब्लॉग में :) :)
shankar, i don't think its fair to bring the male-female divide here too. all of us have chosen one extraordinary entity (that's of a blogger) and all of us should be happy with that. so if some blogger is getting more reviews than others, it's purely on merit of that blog
I am sorry for bringing this topic... just read all the comments above.. some blogs which are not worth of are getting good reviews.. But some blogs which are really good are not getting reviews at all.. http://ballat.blogspot.com
I agree with Mr Shankar, There are some good blogs with excellent article gets no review at all, but some blogs not worthy getting lot of reviews.
I think there is no difference between male and female blogger, It's the difference of quality of content and easily understandable flow of language, these always wins the heart of readers.
When I post some comments or review on any blog or site, I never see whether it is written by a male or female, I comment because I like the article and the way of presenting it.
Well for me this is very early to comment on the topic because I have started blogging just from last 10 to 12 months, I have lot of things to understand about blogging effectively.
Thanks to all and Special thanks to Indiblogger.
rita... you are more experienced in blogging than me..i am just two months old... http://ballat.blogspot.com
I'm 2.5 years old! Yayyy! :D
Well, at the end of the day, content and easy-to-understand writing style does matter, but still... the gender bias rules the intial click-throughs.
If you give 10 men lists of 10 blogs each... 7 out of those 10 men will automatically click on those blogs first which have a cute female on display. The remaining 3 might chose to go for funky blog titles or topics they feel more "at home" with.
You never see whether the blogger is a male or female, 'coz you are a female! We females are only concerned with the content, and how easily we can relate to it, or how useful it is for us. This gender bias comes basically from men. They are simply more inclined to first check out "a good looking female who can write as well"! It's just in their nature.
kadambari...absolutely true..... http://ballat.blogspot.com
i totally agree... women do get better responses compared to men even I do sometimes... though not always (eg: not on my blog) ...
look at my request for a review, only two! .. I forced my bro ther to post a review so that somebody would take ineterst :P ... and yes.. one review was sincerely given.. thanx for that.
I even have a picture on my blog still the response is poor! :(
(i guess m not tht good looking :P )
Well there is a Confession to be made : I am not very active @ indiblogger!
but u know wat.. if u think that a female blog (blogger i mean) doesnt deserve the amount of attention it is getting.. go and rechek its always men who give them that undeserved attention.
As for me, I read blogs that interest me and check the name of the author once I liked his posts !
