Being a president in India is useless.A president has almost no power in India.Prathiba patil being a true servant to UPA chair person, done nothing to India. To me the only person who is worth to be a president of India is Dr.APJ.Abdul Kalam. He is a true inspiration for people like me.So wats your comment fellows???

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam... is a colossus. Difficult to fill his shoes.

Anyways, lets look at the positive side of things. The current incumbent is the first woman to hold this office... in India. This in itself makes it a historic event.

APJ sir is inspirational to everyone regardless he is president or not. But according our government PM holds more powers than President. Not only prathiba every president has the same situation. Actually even APJ was the same. I accept he is inspiration to everyone of us. But does that means only he is worth for that President's Position? http://ballat.blogspot.com

yes ... he is the only man who is worth to fill the president's shoes. He as a president did some justice to his job.He atleast visited schools, colleges and gave some inspirational speeches.Do you know what prathiba does? ... Do you know every sari prathiba wears is woven in souther district of kancheepuram and the weaver is given only Rs.2 for the sari .. She is not at all worth to be a president. She is a politician thats it.Not a service women.Worthless politicians ...

I completely agree with Anand Ravichandran . She is just a dummy holding the president's chair and enjoying the luxury of Rashtrapati Bhavan. What Kalam sir has done should be an inspiration to all the forthcoming presidents of India. But because of the dirty politics and fool politicians we will have this kind of people everytime in the near future.

Many youngsters came to clean the untidy politics but in vain.Lok paritran was one such.I was in it but due to many powerful parties it got washed away ... Many people who were in Lok paritran are now in BJP and UPA ... some in local parties like DMK and AIADMK ...

Come on chaps! Since when did Presidents start making a difference to India? And - I know I will be pilloried for this - that includes Abdul Kalam. Presidents are largely figureheads in a parliamentary democracy.

Perhaps, Abdul Kalam is inspirational but his reach is/was pretty much limited. Seriously, how many of you changed your course of life due to Abdul Kalam?

Hmmmm... may be I have become old.

By the way, before you let loose your objections to my views, I am very clear about the difference between Kalam's personal achievements and his acievements as the president.

Churn!
