PR Update Today, Christmas Gift by Google, You got updated PR?

My ALHT is at PR 2. No change.

Java With Us got PR 1.

PR of many pages of IB decreased. Previously, IB forum, IndiVine, IndiStream and all other main pages had PR 4. 

And before the previous PR update, IB had PR 5. 

Yup I noticed That Too. 

This time, it seems like google gave tough PR update. I am hearing PR Decrease from many blogger friends of Mine. 

dont a website has only 1 PR??? every page has different PR kya?

ND PAGE Rank.  Every page has a different PR. When people say, page rank of a site or blog, it means, page rank of the home page of that site. 

Same PR 1 ...When PR doesn't change I think that PR update should be there in every 2 months....

Earlier I had a few pages on my blog having PR 1 - around 10 pages. Now, only 5 pages have PR 1.  Anyway, it doesn't matter as Google's traffic is useless for my blog. 

What's PR? Page rank?

Google Page Rank - It is given on a 0 to 10 log scale. It is determined by the number and quality of links. More links = Higher PR.

This I don't understand. My IB profile has 2 PR, .com has 1 PR and .in has NA

When I open my blog, it's blogspot.in. So doesn't it mean that .in is the main extension and that should have the PR and not .com?

.com is main url       .in is regional url

Consider a page A with PR x which has links to n other pages. The PR of each of the n pages will increase by x/n because of those links. ( This is not the exact algorithm ). Now , your IB profile page has PR 3 and it has something around 50 links. So, that link increases your blob's PR by 2/50 = 0.04.

Open your blog from US, it will be blogspot.us. The extension changes depending on the country from which you are accessing your blog.

i dont think in US its .us....it'll be .com....in other countries it changes

it depends on the country your blog is being accessed..in india its .in,in us its .us,in france its .fr but this is just in case of blogs like .blogspot.com,.com here is commercially available.when a person from a specific country clicks on your blog say its xyz.blogspot.com then it will change to xyz.blogspot.fr if he/she is in france..

 I am the only one having PR zero 

dont feel bad..its just because you have not got sufficient no. of  backlinks or say small no. of links

what should be done to improve the PR? 

Get do follow backlinks to your blog -

• Comment, Guest Post on do follow blogs. 
• Post your blog links on IndiVine.
• Submit your blog to directories. 

My blog does not have Page Rank. Why?

... because the number of do follow links to your site are not sufficient to get PR 1.

No worries, Punit. As you yourself said, "for No Reasons" .. Google is like that. It's best to not get distracted by these things and keep doing what you are doing. Things will be back at it again, soon. All you need to do is cheer up and keep blogging! :)

I was just worried about any SEO mishap, certainly Google is unpredictable but PR tells a lot about Bad links and all.  Vaise, rumor is that this PR update is done on old set of data, so looking forward :D
