"Tech News" blog means you grow as you go..

Better to concentrate on design / domain / installation / plugins as to make it look good and interactive useful for readers..

As for content, you will increase as you go, keep on posting news..

If you talk about launching from better platform for SEO, then buy a "premium" domain with already having better PR and backlinks Undecided

then buy a "premium" domain with already having better PR and backlinks

And then the PR and backlinks wll be nulled by Google in a few days or months as it can recognise that the domain now hosts a completely new website!

by that time user will create more of its own Tongue out

But Google may penalise the blog for trying to cheat it. Who knows what Google has in its mind! Undecided

Google does not remove or nulled any backlinks or PR....It does not matter what domain host now...All it matters You Already Have Backlinks....

I have a domain which is around 9 years Old and dropped two or three times but still carries backlinks from 2004....

Actually I wanna lnow how to index it within 24 hours.....So do I need to launch the blog 5-6 posts...?? and then Submit it to GWT and BWT...???

Why do you want to be so fast? Slow and steady wins the race.

To see if an answer exists for your question, I have googled it and all the pages talked of things most of us already know: adding it to Google Webmaster Tools, submission to blog directories, social bookmarking, guest blogging, commenting and so on.

But remember that if you do all these things at once, Google may consider it as unnatural linking - too many links in too little time.

i guess 1 or 100 google will come to a new domain at same pace.. But if you be regular with your posting frequency and that matches your site maps decleration like which page shoul;d be checked by the crawler how often, then it indexes fast and indexes good Sealed

So what will be the ideal time to include the new blog to Google Webmaster Tools and other directorties?? After a week...??? having around 10 posts.....???

Ranjith

Unfortunately, no one can specify a concrete number. I think it doesn't really matter as to when you include your site on Google Webmaster Tools.

About adding to directories - Post a few news articles - may be 5-10, and add your blog only to good directories like IndiBlogger, BlogAdda, Technorati - not on the same day but gradually - may be to 3 or 4 directories per week. Balance that with commenting and guest posts. The real backlinks are those that come without your interference when people mention about you/ your blog in their posts or link to your posts in forum discussions.

The reason to add your blog to directories only after having a few quality posts is that some people keep track of new blogs. If they stubmle across your blog and find hardly any articles, they would be disappointed.

i would say, keep posting and and always keep google a step behind in indexing you, that always keeps the bots interested in you Tongue out

Just asking. Why do you use so many dots while writing a statement?
Aditya Dey

Nice observation.....Actually I love to use the dots at the end of a sentence......there's no special reason for that I just love it, and you know na love has no particular reasons :-P ...Now days it has became a habit too....

Even I had that doubt but never bothered to ask! Sealed

You should have asked :-P :-P ;-)

Designing site map is also a very important thing, for example, of the feature of site map is to tell bots if it needs to come back to an already indexed page at a certain time interval..

For example, if you expect a post to have updates, then edit site map as per expected update schedule and do make sure post get changes so that bots remember and dont return empty, most of us dont do it, even I dont (lack of time and interest) but thinking pro, you should take care of that too..

If expecting posts to get no update design as per that and keep return schedule at an higher interval Tongue out

No need to wait for 10 or more post..You can submit your blog or website url with a single post or no post....

Google will index your site even without any post.....

There is only one secret to Quick Indexing in Google

You can see a live example by searching wpindiblog in google..

I have submitted this domain to WMT when i bought this domain...

Its now indexed.....by bing, google and other Search engine...

I will launch this blog just after the Pagerank Update....   I know that time it will have Pagerank 2...

Do u have any idea about when the PR update is gonna happen? Many had predicted it to happen on d first wk of May, bt Google fooled them all

I think one should concentrate more with content as without good content, no matter how much SEO you do, result would not be beneficial..

Create a great blog. Write great and unique articles. Use keywords carefully and within limits. Do not spam other blogs with your comments and links - Google will take time to understand your blog but will respect your blog and eventually rank great. There is no need to get your pages indexed within 24 hours. Be prepared to wait about a year to get the recognition you deserve in Google. Any shortcuts to get fast results could put your blog in trouble in the long run.

Hunky @ NexGenBikes.com

not everyone is ready to wait for that due time and thus "SEO" shows us a dream of shortcut to the success Tongue out

I will give a chocolate to that person who would be able to explain me as to why that 'Launching Soon' page was indexed even with no backlinks! Tongue out

Hunky @ NexGenBikes.com

  • Some one visitied your page from a browser which has Google Tool bar and google got to know about the new URL
  • Some one visited your page using Google Chrome which logged into Google account hence google logged the url which they do for so called better search result and got to know about your website.
  • your hosting provider autometically submitted the website to google as many does as free service.
  • your domain seller autometically notified google that new website, many does.

so many ways Google takes to find better content as because Google knowns, unless they can serve content required by users, they will be dumped as their page will be flooded by SEO expert with no content but all SEO stuff Tongue out

Ranjith

Why would I be thinking of using robots.txt file even before launching my site to block the 'Coming Soon' page from being indexed? Tongue out

Actually, the problem is that when I google 'site:mysitename',  my website is being diplayed but the text snippet shows

'JAVA WITH us. Coming Soon...'

which means that my site isn't yet indexed after launching it.

It's not that I still have that 'Coming soon' page and I can prevent it from being indexed.
