Doc, I'd rather use app or laptop. Browser is ok but it can't beat a specific app. :)

Of course 3G. The reason I don't like to use safari for IB is that the screen doesn't adjust automatically as it happens with websites that are specifically designed for mobiles. Also, if the app is there for this and it's navigated like FB app, life could definitely get better. Am I making sense?

Ur iPad screen is of course bigger than iPhone. And I have specs. I hate both squinting and keep on adjusting screen size when I am feeling too lazy to power up my laptop :(

I have a somewhat newer laptop. Tongue out and also an old PC that takes five minutes to start, two minutes to start the browser and one one minute for any other task, however simple it may be! Undecided

@ranjith, had i got a laptop behaving like that, I m sure I would have thrown it out after the first 5 mins.

I was talking about desktop and not laptop. My laptop is fine.

Since that was the first desktop I had used, I don't feel like throwing it away. Undecided Moreover, my ( old ) printer cum scanner works only with that desktop running Windows XP. When I tried to install the software on my laptop, it asked me to upgrade my OS from Windows 7 to Windows XP! Surprised

In 1st or 2nd class, we were made to type numbers on a computer. That computer was probably from the 90's. Smile

@ Pankti Does it really take that long to wake up a laptop put into sleep mode?  Innocent If you are talking about accessing IB ( or infact any other application ) every second of the day and where ever you are, think once - Should we be glued to the net so much?  --- Even I need to think about it. Undecided

@ Hunky, Sfurti Am I the only one running Windows 7 ? Frown

.

How would a 'New forum posts' notifier be? Cool

I can't do anything which requires you to log in. I've tried that a hundred times but was successful only once and I forgot to save that code! Cry

@Ranjith, sometimes after putting 12-14 hours at work, I am so tired that I am even ready to forgo my dinner if there's nobody to serve it. I would rather starve than get up and scour for the food. But even though I am tired, I still want to write. So I write in my iPhone as I don't want to get up and get the lappy (my lappy is always in my room and I am not ready to move from the couch yet). After joining IB, I want to see the updates. So here comes my need for iOS app. I know I am a bloody lazy bum but what to do? Smile

PS: I am not hooked/addicted to technology cause I just spend 15 mins in a day to check my email and FB messages. I use technology to read and write. I am a voracious reader and I roughly read around 20 books in a month. I can't afford to buy each and every one of those Cry, so i read lot of those books online. Smile But if you consider working on PC/Laptop as addiction, then yes. I am addicted cause my bread, butter and jam comes from here. Smile

It appears that you work too much. And 20 books every month! Innocent

I feel that an interview with you would be interesting. Smile
