My Gourmet Party - another Indi Contest !!!
If you were to host a party for your friends or family, what would the theme of that party be? Write what you would you do in terms of ambience, entertainment, location and select the gourmet products from Kitchens of India that suit your party the best. The most entertaining parties could win you and a friend free stay at a luxury ITC hotel of your choosing!
Checkout the contest Page:- My Gourmet Party
While I'm not sure if I liked the topic, the design of the contest page looks great!
Then, assuming that I would be participating and winning the Rs 1000 voucher, I went to the online store to see what I would be buying but couldn't find anything... The shopping site should offer chocolates..
And , the concept below looks new!
Now, what would I be doing if I host a party?
I heard you were having exams... are they over now?
Doc can do anything Stephen,
IRON MAN 3 ... this is what came to my mind reading your comments....
I am having exams till 7th May. All my exams till now ( 3 theory +1 practical ) were fine except for the pratical exam. Left with three more.
And did you think that I would be participating in contests instead of studying for exams?
.
.
.
Tresemme is an exception!
@ Stephen Creating the thread?
I was busy discussing with ITC about the topic and prizes!
Ranjith you forgot to mention that you called me from your satellite phone to accomplish this task on your behalf
Did I ?
Yes, I did. I have been using a satellite phone without knowing its name!
Thanks for enlightening me!
I had submitted my post for this contest but I can't see it anywhere...how do I see it...Pls help I am new to Indiblogger
The entries will be made visible in a few days. Till that time, you will not be able to see your entry.
and once upon a time I used to roll like pigs too... nowadays I prefer Buddha's posture
there are so many contests going on indiblogger
hmmm so that dying blogs get a second life
yeah....
... In the near future, we might be having a new contest ( or two to three ) every week.
And those days are not far way. Till date, we had eight contests in 2013 = 0.5/week .
hmmm professionals can leave their full-time job and earn from blogging....
you know how?
by selling contest gifts
I had exactly the same thoughts in my mind when I was new to this site. I had seen the same people winning prizes in every contest and wondered if there was a need for them to work. But now, I feel that it is not that easy to sell prizes ( we love them too much ) and even if one sells them, the money that a person gets from them will probably never exceed his monthly salary.
AS : An exercise for you - Try adding up the prices of the first prize of every contest and see how much a person would have earned if he was the winner in all the contests.
Hahahaaa Ranjith... I didn't even receive any product sample till date, so why to take that pain... anyway I accept whatever be your opinion, coz you're the guy with too many tablets
I got only one tablet and I did not even look at it till now. It's at my home.
nevermind... lumia is on its way...
How can I expect a lumia? The judges would have gone mad after reading my post!
hmmm sometimes we throw away things when we go mad, don't we?
I hope that a new contest / IndiMeet would soon replace this one on the home page spotlight. Every time I visit IB, I feel like running home right now seeing those pictures!
honestly it's not my type too
Now, it's replaced!
But I don't like that apple painted with blood.
it's not your fault... it's human mind...
BTW, what's the word count limit?
Is it one combo pack per entry or one combo pack per participant?
per entry i suppose..
Good luck Combo-pack seekers
should all the items served only from Kitchens of India, they as of now seem to have a limited range of products
I don't think all items should be from Kitchens of India. Include a few so that the judges from KOI feel happy!
... And there is no need to follow the rules word by word. Just write what you feel maintaining at least some relation with the topic. Even such entries win. :)
Here is my entry for the contest !
http://dreammamata.blogspot.in/2013/05/purchasing-tasty-gourmet-food-online.html
I hope you have posted your entry on the link above mentioned by AS. There is no need for the link on the thread,am not sure its allowed....
Two Indi-Pattani prize winners declared and they missed my name.
haha...did u look at the definition of Indo-Pattani??? U really want one
Two more winners declared - with surprise gifts!
Even now, they forgot my name
Ranjith : may be they want to give u a stay at ITC hotel.. so they are not giving you small surprise gifts.. :)
How do we get these Wildcraft Ruksacks ?? I also want one
They are surprise prizes. These have been given to few good entries from those submitted till now. They are like other prizes with the difference that they are awarded during the contests and not at the end.
When will they send the bag. I didn't get any mail or any correspondence. This is the first time I won something on Indiblogger, so am not sure of the process...can anyone guide
I think that they will dispatch all the prizes at once.
Normally, it takes around 1-2 months for the prizes to be sent.
yesterday the kitchens of india second winners' list was supposed to be out? I have my fingers crossed :)
New to contests in indiblogger, so just curious to know! Do the judges/fellow bloggers even read all the entries or just choose the most based on the likes as other websites do?
its written on contest pages clearly votes/likes donot matter
The winners are chosen after reading the entries.
IndiVine votes, facebook likes and other thing do not matter.
Do the judges/fellow bloggers
Winners are chosen by judges who would be members from the IndiTeam ( and / or ) the sponsor. Fellow bloggers have no role in deciding the winners.
@R: but love of fellow bloggers could gove a little psychological twist to the indifferent disposition of evaluators.
After all they too are humans and not bots.
The mention of bots and humans reminds me of the Smasung Tab contest where a person demanded an excel sheet containing the names of the participants and the marks allotted for creativity, originality and interaction.
I'm thinking of submitting around 100 entries in these five days so that my family need not buy groceries for a year.
how many u submitted till now??
Ranjith - Are they really offering a year long supply of groceries, then I'll post 101
@ nadini Only one
@ Ritu Yes, if you submit 100 entries, you will get 100 combo packs = 100 * 400 = 40 000 Rs
in this contest the voucher and combos are looking more attactive than the main prize
Can I just win one prize on Indiblogger for some contest please :(
Keep trying and one day you will surely win.
As you participate in more and more contests, you will be able to tell what impresses the judges and what doesn't; at least with 50% accuracy.
Now, don't ask me how I arrived on the 50% figure.
One question: can my post include fictional characters whom i love?
Sure but is should enthuse evaluators besides serving the purpose of the sponsors.
@ Pankti Do one thing - Write an article on a party which includes chatting with people on WeChat ( even though they are present right beside you ) followed by dishes from KOF. Include Renie, some fictional charcters and the judges ( if at all you know who they are ) Submit it for this contest as well as WeChat.
* I'm not responsible if your entry gets disqualified saying that the same one was submitted for both contests.
Awesome Ranjoth..you are so full of ideas!
But converting those ideas to a post is the most difficult thing - sometimes I'm able to do it... sometimes everything goes wrong.
I never though Ranjith will reply back if he was addressed as "Ranjoth"
Sorry Ranjith...
Thanks Ranjith..you sure know the trick so may be you could share some tips :)
wowwww...that's a great tip. Will try that for further contests. And yes you definitely are way too creative. remember seeing one of your entries which was a short story with lot of images..super impressed!
