Dove Contest: Beautiful Ends to your Beautiful Braids!
Here is a contest on IndiBlogger after a gap of almost two months! Presented by Dove, the title is 'Beautiful Ends to your Beautiful Braids!'.
Tell us your story about the good old days, when you loved to make beautiful braids with your hair, and how your braids have beautiful ends once again.
The prizes are also great- as usual there is a laptop and for a change, this time they have introduced cameras as one of the prizes!
Reason: link
Hey c'mon :)
:)))))) oh that will be fun
You mean to say Girls who have hair domain entirely.
I had always wondered why cameras are not one of the prizes and this time, they are! Though I don't know what SLR means ( I'm sure that it doesn't mean self loading rifle! ) , I still want that one! Infact, I wouldn't mind if I am offered the UltraBook While the number of vouchers is large, I doubt their usefulness! It would have been better if they were Flipkart vouchers.
And coming to the contest, clueless on what to write...
yo;
SLR means Single Lens Reflex as opposed to Twin Lens Reflex cameras (i.e cameras with two lenses) from the days of yore. In a TLR one of the lenses is the photographic objective or "taking lens" (the lens that takes the picture), while the other is used for the viewfinder system, which is usually viewed from above at waist level.
Me clueless on how to go about cuz need some guidelines, word limit, anythn shud know ?
Not really bothered about what SLR means. The camera is all that I want Anyway, that was a good explanation!
Wow the prizes are so amazing. I have no idea what to write though. But MUST at least submit an entry. *eyes that laptop and DSLSR*But yeah, they should have more contests where guys feel like submitting stuff too.
yes i agree..i guess they cud have kept a smiliar topic for men to write...like something related to hair care. It would have been very intresting to read a MAN's POV. You do find many men with long hair these days, its obvious that they too need to maintain their locks well!!
but previous records show all such type contests were aced by gals. though attempted by guys, (couldn't get in their shoes may be."
I may try one more time to think like a gal, seeing the mesmerizing prizes. Mind has already revolted though, and given last warning,
Admit how many of those Participants Googled the word 'Braid' the moment they read it! Atleast I did! I
Agree! No you shouldn't rather you need to pen down the article!
http://shivanigoyal3691.blogspot.in/2013/03/my-hair-story.htmlhere's my story for teh dove's contest. (Y) :)
I did too..i had a really good time reminiscing my old memories :)
It not always about wining and loosing :/just like i said, even some men tend to keep long locks nowadays..They can definitely write well for this one!
And these are the men only who notice the locks the most!
Still waiting for samples... I want to try it before writing about it... Dove are you listening????
Give it some time. I got mine today although I had applied a long time back.
I just recd my Dove sample , was pleasantly surprised.. unsure though about rules for this competition ? Could not find any link to ' Guidelines' . There has to be a word limit ?? Please say ?
I haven't received my sample either so far!!!!! :(
Again, I haven't received anything at all as yet!
Wonder how am i supposed to write the post without the product sample.
That's hilarious Rio De La Sciocco :D
i got my dove sample (yay!), but..me too clueless about how to approach the writing. i am totally wooed by the prizes, should submit at least one entry. HOW??

Got my free Dove samples on Women's day. Much fun :) Thanks Dove!
I too recieved my dove sample while still waiting to recieve my sunsilk gift hampers.
Now what to write? Let my imagination go wild till March 15.
ides of march?????
The Dove sample is not really free. Blue Dart brought a package today (to Pune) along with some kind of invoice saying I would have to shell out Rs.30 approx for octroi and some other 'admin' or some such charge. I returned the package as it was. Has anybody else had this experience? Thanks.
Quite surprized to know that, Alaka. Me too received it in Pune, for free of course via Blue Dart.
Courier guy must be an unscrupulous. When my Dell system was delivered, courier guy demanded some money as service tax. I opted for the cheque payment and that guy delivered the system and never turned up again.
Me too received the sample at no extra charge
Phir why this happened to me only? :(
Ok, it's a small disappointment, but more importantly wanted to keep indibloggers in general updated about this.
@Alaka - we're sorry about that! We'll report it to Dove and Bluedart, and have another one sent across.
completly cluless about this contest kindly explain in detail thanks.
