How to promote blog
I see that you have a blogger site. They have their own statistics. You can take a look into it. You can figure out where traffic is coming from, keywords, sites etc. Make sure you block your own views.
Thanks Shalu , but I was asking about promotion on indiblog. of course i cant promote my self..
I agree to your point but how to get into a main Blogger or famous blogger stream coz i have been writing from 2 years or so but still don't have much followers how to enhance followers, people do like my Posts but they hesitate in joining my blog ..........
Plz give some Light on these situations i hope your Experience will count in making my blog Famous
Welcome Indrani - use IndiVine for your blog promotions. Its the second link on the top navigation.
Add your blog posts there with the relevant information and catagory, one by one.
People voting for your blog posts on Indivine depends on people actually. You cannot do much, but yes write better. It you recently started posting, then you will need to have more patience. I have very little people promoting my blog posts even though I have been here for last 4 years - and still nothing wrong with that. If people do not read and promote your blog its perfectly okay. Patience is the key
Keep writing and keep blogging, you will be shining in the future for sure.
well said hemal ,
we can't force anyone to read our content ..so we just need to be patiently wait for our readers to join this site some day
lolz
@indrani rawat
If you just started with this blog thing , i would recommend you to ask your friends to read , review it and even share it with friends
its a lot better to start up with your promotion
P.S.:- Atleast you can beat your friends for their awful remarks ..lolz
That some of the blog posts are unwieldy and long deters one from reading such posts. Brevity is the soul of wit. We can very well write a blog post within 800-1000 words and this will, I'm sure, will enable one to read such a post.
@Easwar, that is a good pont here, brevity. But sometimes when one starts writing the words keeps flowing and its hard to dam them. What to do then? We are the ones that write, and as far I've seen writers suck at editting (especially their own!)
Thanks Prem. I agree. But then, while it is not possible to measure the length of a post during writing, it is possible to edit it later.
What I have done is break a long story down into multiple posts. Make sure to leave a post at a logical and interesting point to make them come back for the rest of it.
It does seem to work. Here are 2 examples from my blog.
1. Hello World Series

Same problem here. No comments or follows :(
There are lot of things to consider in blogging. I have given a detailed explanation here.

I tried visiting your blog, Indrani but it is open to invited readers only. Isn't that limiting your audience?
