Seems like I have been given priviledge to delete threads. I shall posts the names of people whose threads I delete here with reason for deletion to avoid confusion.

But this will only have information about threads I delete. If other indipolice delete, it may not be posted here. ( They are free to join though) Indipolice is purely a voluntary activity for community self regulation and everyone has his or her own style of working

All stocktip related topics will be blindly deleted without any information, notice or warning

Mods, don't you think we can remove IndiRank threads that are not "current"? Since Deepa's is the one that's active and being used for present Indirank, other previous ones, which are obsolete now, can be removed I feel.

I don't know. Traditionally no one has been deleting them. Maybe Renie and co can decide on that.

While on this subject you can also consider deleting the old surf excel contest thread. I find recent activity there in the mistaken impression that it is the current contest.

Rather than deleting them, locking them stating the reason as the last reply would be better.

Jayan didn't do any flamming. Jayan only started a thread titled "How to make India, Indiblogger and the world better"? and he said since every topic comes under this no one needs to start any new threads on any topic. This is not flamming.

He did so because Fool locked one of his thread saying the topic is already discussed without intimating him. The previous discussion was not active in past 7 months. He didn't know that there was a discussion already born and died.

And you may like to add one more thread titled "How dare you lock my thread?"

Vysakh Jayakrishnan
from Thrissur

The title was "How dare you lock my thread" Followed by "Without intimation"? as the first line of the message.

So the topic was "How dare you lock my thread without intimation"? I still ask you or anyone who locks or delets a thread without intimation the same question.

"How dare you" means from where you got the courage to lock a topic which was created with good intention. Locking is not just redirecting. It is miming the voice of a blogger who wants a discussion on an idea of him. No indi police member should lock any topic if the previous topic was not active for a week or more. Let us have a new discussion. It is intention of the topic creator that matters.

Vysakh Jayakrishnan

If I create a new topic called indi rank august discussion, either I want to attract attention or I'm ignorant to see the topic already in discussion. You can lock it if you want.

But if I create new topic on how to make this platform better, focussing on a particular point, it is most likely that it is already discussed about. All of you think on that. Me too think on that. But if that discussion was ended a week or month ago, let us have new one. You give the link of old one. Let the bloggers choose from it.

Jayan had started one more thread questioning TF why  he deleted his thread. He didn't use a single abusive or insulting word. Later Captain said that from then onwards, he will annouce it before deleting or locking the thread.

I'm saying it here because they who had not seen the deleted threads and sees the comment of TF may get a confusion.

And since there is no option for deleting comments, I can't ask TF to delete his comment. That's why I say it here. I do not want to dig it again.
