Flipkart Affiliate Program + Adsense [Allowed?]
Hi,
I currently run Adsense on my Blog. I think I can add one or two more ad units to it without making it look very congested.
I had applied to BlogAds & Chitika, but recieved no reply from them. I thought Adsense had the strictest quality control.Turns it thats not the case
Recently learnt about Flipkart's Affiliate program. Thought its interesting.
3 Questions:
1.) Can I run the Flipakart's program alongside Adsense?
2.) What are your views about Flipkart's affiliate progrm? Is it good? Recieved payment?
3.) What are my other options for monetising my blog [Adsense must not be harmed under any circumstances. 1-2 ad units possible at the most]
I dont think running a flip kart affliate will affect your adsense. Here is the complete policy details for adsense. Just check if you violate anything by putting flipkart ads. I dont recommend flipkart affliate because you will not be able to target tier 1 countries with your affliate. Tier one countires include USA and Euro zone. That should be your prime target zone with affliate. Indians dont read reviews and buy products as much as the people in west. This is assuming that flipkart is only in india. If they offer their services in america or all over the world, feel free to use them as your affliate
Check the following link for google adsense policy. See if you violate anything by placing flipkart affliates :) I dont think you will:
Adding to that, to target tier one countries try amazon as an affliate instead of flipkart. I can say for sure that amazon wont get you banned from adsense because so many people use it.
Yeah, a lot of people use it especially youtubers who have their site. They need adsense+ amazon to earn money out of their hardwork. I thought of using my flipkart and amazon affiliate thing as well, once the site catches more pace.
the reason i think an Indian affiliate program would be more beneficial is because, majority of my traafic is generated from India. US comes second. So i thought if visitors see prices in rupees instead of dollars, along with cash on delivery system that most Indian prefer [& Flipkart offers] they would be more likely to use it.
The problem is you wont make money if your traffic is not from USA. There is one simple reason to this. There are more credit card users in USA than there are in India. :) You must strive for more traffic from USA and Euro Zone. From experience there will be far less conversion from indian traffic.
Just yesterday I mailed Flipkart asking them why they dont start an affiliate program like Amazon. What a fool I am :(
Timing is the key my friend!! :) so you aint a fool as yet!
Yeah .. I dont think I will earn any money with them.. but they give completeness to my book reviews :D
i have temporarily put plans of adding flipkart ads on my blog on the backburner.
their ad designs aren't appealing to me very much. will take a look at it later.
My Chitika aplication got approved - 2nd attempt, without making changes before re-submitting. Too much bhaav they eat. Adsense had got approved the 1st attempt after I made changes to my information.
Having put up 2 units of Chitika ads, I am not too happy with the appearance of the ads. the only ad they're showing is from answered-questions.com. All their ads show a stupid-looking smiling call center girl icon along with title of the blog post.
Nobody calls up a call center to enquire about the Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft or Indian's contribution to the Large Hadron Collider experiment. Very silly those ads are looking. Will wait till Tuesday when they're likely to show me intial earnings [3 days they said. I'll wait 5]
In the meanwhile, I am looking for other ads to place in place of Chitika. I came across Technorati Media ads. How has been your experiance with Technorati ads?
Since Technorati is a old & well-established name, their ad service too would be good IMO.
Please give inputs about your experiance with Technorati.
Also, if it does not violate forum rules, can you guys visit my blog & check if I have too many ad units there. I've tried to keep it as discrete as possible & not come in way of user's reading experiance.
Please give input about my ad placements too.
