IndiDEBATE
Hello,
Everyday, we find new topic to DEBATE and DISCUSS about, but all of them being done in the FORUMS is not a really good idea. Forum has been provided to get to know each other and help others and grow. As Kirti's Thread Unrelated threads and replies? states, there are too many Unrelated thread on Indi these days.
So, why not shift the DEBATES to IndiTalk?. If you have a TOPIC in mind, post it here, and tell the timings you are free. If possible people will show up and you can have your debate there.
Till date, I have participated in 3 Debates in IndiTalkand it was a lot of fun.
First One: Just some random topic
Participants:ME and Daniel David
Second One: A Day For Love?
Participants: Me, Daniel David, Animesh, The Sorcerer.
Third One: Boys or Girls?
Participants: Me, Animesh, Gayathri.
The second debate was extremely nice and fun, hence I posted it on my blog with a conclusion
. This can be done for all the other debates as well

Keep your topic ready, discuss and debate about it, if it turned out really well, then one of you take the initiative and post it on your blog. It will be more fun that way, than having a SEPARATE THREAD for every topic

Good idea, princess. We can also have 2 leaders/ moderators for the debates - Umesh Debarail for political and current affairs, Indu Chibber for social issues.

Nice idea, Princess. IndiTalk and IndiForum can be gelled together and used in a good way so that they support and complement each other. We can restrict the blogging related topics to the Forum and some other general topics can be taken to the Talk if everyone feels like it. It will be interesting to see the participation and how all of this works out in the long run.

I think doing a debate is a difficult task all together. I don't really think so it can be done in forums or at IndiTalk. What I suggest is that we should create different "Chat rooms" type of things, which are specific to a particular topic only.
This can't be done on IndiTalk as there are a dozen more things going on there.
HmmmChat Rooms. That is offered by all other social network media right?Its not being put to use.
If such thing is created here, too many unnecessary debates will start and it might even start some sorts of fightsIts better if it is supervised and in the talks right?

As I said before, till date, I myself have participated in 3 debates in IndiTalk.
It went extremely well. Everyone got a chance to express their views and it was a total hit

Hahaha... Just completed my 12th boards. Now is the time for the entrance exams and all, so I try my best to be active.
But since the past hour I've been watching the IndiTalk, and I think I'll take time until I can be active there. I mean I think I need to know who's who.

By the way, I was thinking we could have a interface similar to the IndiStream, 2-3 windows open for various topics, and one could go and post their point of view, and then like the topics could change after every week or so.
