Well, To keep my blog active, I FEED IT WITH POSTS. 

Drawing visitors can be done by, Visiting other blogs and commenting on their postThe more you do that the more Visitors you will get. Thats what Dee taught me

I believe you should have regular followers to ensure that your blogs are visited frequently, so start networking in the field of your specialisation.

Marketing: Submission to different blog directories, guest posting, commenting on relevant sites suited to your interest, SEO (I dont understand it, but make an effort sometimes ).. these are some of the many ways, to help your blog grow and take it out to the world, that I have known and can think of right now :)

active blog? no other option than posting GOOD stuff. people will visit themselves if you keep them drawn to your blog. thats all i know :)

Above all, you must appreciate others in a great level and above that, you must be active on reading others post and express your views as comments.

Mine is a hungry blog and it needs a post atleast twice a week. 

Since am not the only one and have partners and kind Guest Bloggers, there is actually a backlog of waiting posts on my blog

SEO actually stands for Search Engine Optimization... It's actually a bunch of methods you can do so that the search engines understands your website/blog better.

You can simply go on google and search "seo tips" and you'll be flooded with them. :-)

Well, I've not used much of them. I think I should be first more active on my blog and after I write atleast 50 posts, I'll try that :-)

But it actually works. For eg: When your blog post comes in a result, it is actually displayed as..

[BLOG NAME]:[BLOG POST TITLE]

Now when people are actually searching for something, and they find your blog, what they actually concerned with is the "Post title" and not the "Blog title". So, with the help of SEO, you can have the Post title before the Blog name, so that could attract readers when they are searching. :-)

This is actually just one of them, there are actually loads of them. I was going through IndiVine one day, and I went to a post, and there I saw the author had written in the "About Me" section that she was actually a SEO specialist. Though I am not able to find her now.

Indeed we can market it by keeping our readers regularly updated about new posts,,such as email alerts or an udate over the blogs' facebook page..Postinhg it on our INdiblogger forums are really helpful!

however finding time to regularly update our blog with good posts is the significant part!
