Blogger Choice Award
I don't know where I got this idea from
, but it sounded real nice to me
. So, I just want to know if you all think the same way too
.
I was just thinking, that here in Indi Forums we can have Blogger Choice Award every month. Firstly all bloggers will get to nominate 3 of their favorite blogs for all the categories. The top 5 blogs which has the Highest nominations will be left for voting, here in forums itself.
This can boost up the self-confidence as well as help the bloggers to get noticed
.
If you like this idea, and this actually works, I can desgin the AWARDS logo so that people can post the Award they got on their blog

Only one way to find out - try and see. But collation etc. will take time. Probably you should take up after your exams.
One challenge - If you short list 4-5 blogs based on nomination, only well networked bloggers can even make it to first list. On the other hand if you make a long list of 15-20, people won't have time to read so many blogs. So without reading all, people will vote for their nominations. This will again result in only well networked bloggers winning. If that is the purpose to be achieved - Indivotes are already achieving that.

I have something in mind, but lets see.
I totally agree with TF & Animesh, I think Indiblogger themselves had blogger of the month award and they have quit doing it in 2010, might be because of "Back Pat's".

well,i saw this on sulekha,
every week one blogger is the judge of blogger of the week,he/she sets the topic of blog and other bloggers submit their bog entries for it.This person alone judges all blog posts and cjooses a winner.then the winner becomes the judge for next round and so on.
Only 1 blogger has to read all blogs ,plus ppl who dont have time etc do not participate.It can still be biased but being biased when the entire spotlight is on you is tough :)

Its difficult, but its nice
This might work much better than everyone voting. When spotlight is on you, you will want to act fairly. If you are part of the crowd you always want to leave the fairness to the other guy. Maybe instead of one, we can have 3 winners every month and the 3 winners choose 3 winners for the next month.

I think my blog ka name repels a lotta ppl .. so guess I'm outta the competition already...
