Hi ,
I host a small segment named alfaaz on merasangeet.com ,one of the leading online radio station for bollywood and hindi songs.
Alfaaz is a segment to promote poetry ,short stories and spoken words. Its like a social experiment to see if there is still an audience for spoken words and poetry.

Do they pay you for submitting poetry on Radio
@umesh ji , If you are talking about author getting paid, sadly no.
if you are talking about me , i am an RJ with them, currently sort of intern.Even when i become fulltime, my salary or compensation will no way be linked to poetry submittted by others.This is an experiment i am undertaking on my own right
I currently host a segment alfaaz of which i have been given complete control.I used to read my own poetry and was planning to start with works of greats like Rabindranath tagore also but have started inviting poetry/stories by listeners and community.
Regarding this concept, i have been doing this for my youtube channel also since some time where i lend my voice to poetry written by others.I post those on my youtube channel with full credits to the author with links to their blogpost. But again no money exchanges hands there also.I hope this makes things a bit clear :)

@Ashwini Dey..Simply loved your poem Chandragupt Maurya...
It is such a powerful poem and you managed to tell his entire life story in just a few lines.I have recorded it also and send to the radio station. It was a challenge for me to fit that entire poem into a few minutes and hence took a style where I recite in a breathless fashion .
If the station is OK with the length (>5min) ,your poetry should be on air This wednesday on mera sangeet.
Anyways Kudos to your poem, i simply loved it.

The brazen clashes, the maiden came. this week ,
but after many tries was not able to do justice to it :( so had to leave midway.
