HI Animesh,
Can you confirm that all poetry on the blog is your brother's
Hi Madhur, I am sorry to reply late. I just saw this question.
All the poetry there is only his.
I write short stories and poem and like the idea of having it read. But can't figure where to post. The FB page looks very cluttered
You can simply post a link to your submission on their wall and mention that its your entry for alfaaz. We will pick it up from there.(Do mention your name that you want us to attribute your contribution to :))
This is a very new segment so they dont have a dedicated app for it yet.Maybe sometime in future we will have a dedicated section for Submit for Alfaaz
https://www.facebook.com/merasangeet
Animesh..your brother writes well,
Make sure you tune in this wednesday,, we will be featuring his poetry ;)
Last week we featured poetry by another blogger Mahesh Shah.
Anyone else interested an drop a line here also
With a link to their poem,(multiple submissions allowed)
i dont have a FB account :P
You can post a link here also
oh it was last month :) . He can submit again if he wishes ,he just needs to paste a link to his poem
YOu can send a link to any of your stories and we can take it up :).
The station has given me complete creative control of segment so am allowed to experiment . I have tried Hindi and english poetry, simple talks and now going towards stories .
One of the story that I already have recorded is rabindranath tagore's kabuliwala but again a user submitted story is always preferred.
Send in your story, maybe it might be the first story for our segment :). Short stories preferred
Oops that the irony man My blog is called Story in pieces which means it has episodic stories and which further means they cannot be short
I can do one thing though, I can write a short story and send you on mail, if you like it so
Oh yes, that would be great but again I am not saying long stories are not acceptable.
On the contrary, if your stories are already in pieces and episodes and each episode can be done in 3-5 minutes I can devote 2,3 consecutive programs for the same. Also do you write in hindi ? We are more focussed on hindi at the moment
One reason i could not air kabuliwala was because its a 10 min piece and i need to logically break it somewhere and spread it across 2 episodes
you said giving links here was ok...
so link of my blog: http://versesfrommyheart.blogspot.com/ it has mostly poems and 1 short story...
@MadhurTell me also when Kirti's poems are on Air.If possible SING them
Hey kirti ,
Any specific poem you want to highlight :)
And anyone in hindi? Since it is a hindi radio channel , they prefer hindi but again its not cumpulsory
@Pooja,
sure will update this thread well in advance.
Singing :P..I don't think i can sing that well.
You can look at my youtube channel to see what to expect :). I have uploaded few of my poems there and some radio segments featuring poetry by users who gave me permissions to do so(I take seperate permission for youtube)
Thats really good.
Hehehe! I said that because Her poems have a deep meaning and she has chosen the perfect words. So, singing it would do good
thanks pooja
after your comment i went to kirti's blog and after reading her last poem
A moment, forgotten...I dont know what, but something snapped in me..perfect piece.Kirti you have a new fan in me.
Superb! Three cheers for Kirti
Hip hip hurray
Hip hip hurray
Hip hip hurray
I told you so.
Now you owe me a SONG of Kirti's poems.
Please Please
@ANIThats right.
HIP HIP HURRAYYYYYYYYYYYYY
OMG! yahan mujhe leke discussion chal raha hai and mujhe pata bhi nahi! :P
@Madhur well, you can select anyone of my poems you like and you think would be apt on a radio-show :) Incandescence is incidentally my personal favorite because it was my first verse that was written WITHOUT a rhyming scheme. and thank you so much for liking my poem. 'A moment, forgotten' isn't my best work till now but it is certainly very different. I am very glad and humbled that you liked it to this extent :)
@Pooja seems like tumne thaan rakhi hai ki meri poetry ka gaana banva ke hi rahogi :P :P i am very touched :)
@Ani Thanks!!
Yep, Yep and Yep.
I'm not going to stop until it becomes a HIT SONG. Then I'll start walking around the street #likeaboss and tell everyone that MY FRIEND KIRTI was the one who wrote it.
And then I'll start your fan page on Facebook.Maybe a personal Website as well.
Now, tell me. When are you free for the interview?
lol.
Madhur jhi don't even bother doing that. All I write are EMO poems. They don't even sound like poems.
@Kirti
Its not dear. You'll know why soon. I'm not going to allow someone else tell me that they are your biggest fans. Its going to be ME. Who says Thank you for LOVEReally
Kirti you write awesome..Only problem that i can see is that the language is very refined(cant beleive i am saying that),
Not sure how it would sound ,its an experiment for me also :),I don't possess the gift of language as you do. So i am trying to find a simple poem on your blog :) to start with
OH GOD Pooja... ab bas kar yaar. you are making me so damn self-conscious... and this is a call to Madhur. you should check out Pooja's blog too. she writes wonderful poetry too... :)
and Pooja, dearest, fan page and personal website??? ye kuch ZYADA hi ho gaya :P :P and thank you for so much love :)
Kirti you have a lot of Fans of fans it seems :D
lol.
Madhur jhi don't even bother doing that. All I write are EMO poems. They don't even sound like poems.

@animesh your brothers poetry is now live on youtube also
Ummm... a problem? :P ok...
my start up poems are very simple actually like this one. this is i think one of my serene poems... and it has a perfect rhyming scheme and all :) hope you like it!!
Hehehe, its not a problem, even rhythming is not an issue.I anyways loveyour work,
I guess i am not able to find the right words.
Lemme explain, when i look at your poems,i fel i ought to record it at the level of atlast 10% of what Sarah Kay does(SHe is my idol i can say), and i feel puny and tiny.
I have tried to record some of your poems, but was not satisfied with myself at all:).Thats where I am stuck at the moment. You can say, i am not yet been able to get into your shoes:). WIll try something very soon..its a promise.:).
Madhur
I love saying this "I told you so".
Her words and her way is totally unique and special.
i sort of understand your problem :P
you know the best though. do it whenever it feels right!
thanks :)
