Which genre works better?
I've been thinking, which genre works better...
Do you prefer a light hearted post or a serious one with all the literary skill stuffed.
Or maybe a hybrid?

The hybrid would probably not work.
I write both types depending on my mood. And I like reading both types as well.
Pick one. Decide what type of readers do you want to attract. Are you looking to make money? If so go with the serious and informative posts. That will help you establish yourself as an expert in your field. If you're blogging for fun you can write whatever you want but more people will read it if you are funny or emotional.
I have learnt a lesson from my blogging experience. Write something that you would have wanted to read if you were not a blogger. My last three posts have been right on track. But, I would like to ask here.. Are we really writing for promotion? If not, then write whatever YOU feel! :)
