Apps you wished a TAB had...
As India boldly surfs the TAB wave, Apps or Applications have made even the versatile Swiss army knife obsolete. First the iPad and now the Samsung Galaxy range of TABs, the skys the limit for creativity and the Indian consumers today dare to meet technology head on with a boom in the number of Tab and smart phone users. Needless to say what started as an attempt to Apple-ize all hand held devices, the humble TAB with its aresnal of 'Apps' has revolutionized the concept of the palm-top of old.
But can TABs tap all realms of realism? Trust me, they can. As I tried exploring App possibilities through my article '6 Apps I wish the Samsung Galaxy Tab had', I realized that nothing is unrealistic anymore. You just have to dare to dream.
So I ask you, what is that one App you really wished you had...? What would you have it do...? The more creative and unrealistic the better...;)
You can actually spend some time on google.
There are many companies who make YOUR app and take 25% of revenue. No up-front payment. You have your own account with Apple for providing the app. They provide the download infrastructure and develop the app as per your wishes but take a cut.
If you distribute the app for free, they will take a cut on the ads revenue, or else if you sell tha app without ads, then they will take a payment per download. Many such companies are there.
Your investment is going to be $99 for opening a developer account with apple so that you can submit your app for approval.
Hey Pramod, thanks for the heads up on the app developmnt info.
Say what, I was doin a little RnD on Adobe Flex and its really good. I mean you need a little techie info on comp programing 101 but nothing fancy. But its a good App developmnt platform.
Try it.
@ DS: "First I wish I had a TAB!!!!!!!!!!" - lmao - don't we all :o)
Regarding unrealistic apps: Maybe the app could handle issues in my factory or attend to customer grievances (if any) or even handle a sales call once in a while by itself (In case I feel like taking a break). I don't want it to everything ALL the time, just some of the time to give me a chance to relax, read a book, maybe do some photography or take a holiday.
*sigh* That's about as unrealistic as I can get with this.
It's funny, I don't want it to write on my blog. I think that's a good thing. :o)
Photography you say...the Weekends here man, go on click away... :)
You sound pretty techo Savvy...dont mind me asking...are those engineering genes i sense?
One thing that I wud love to have on my iPad 2 is the IndiBlogger tab, with offline storeage :)
I know I am talking fancy, but think of it.. an app that can store various comments that i have to make, downloads the recent conversations when you connect to WIFI and lets you post those comments when you are not online. :) :)
Lame, I know coz I didnt buy the 3G iPad....
