Please Review my Travel Blog
I think my pictures bring it alive, but for some reason I still have a pretty high bounce rate. As a fellow blogger, or a reader, could you please take a look and break it down for me?
Much appreciation will follow! Thanks!

Hi Dear Friend!
I am an avid reader and travel blogs attract me like no other. I visited your blog Different Doors and found it a very interesting and quick read (it’s good!). Here are my opinions and takes on your blog with only your positive interest in mind.
What I didn’t like much and could be worked upon
- The theme of your blog is not very catch but a little too dull. And that’s negative for a travel blog.
- Your description about yourself on the right in Red is a major turn off. It doesn’t appeal to the eye.
- There are not tags on your posts which makes for a very unfriendly relationship with the search engines.
- I know you spend a lot of time traveling but the frequency of your posts reflects your seriousness for the blog for your reader.
- There are 2 bars on the top, one about your categories and other to reach you. I think links and archives are a little misplaced all the way on the top.
- Another thing, all the posts on your blog are travel extensive and exclusive, but what I do know is people who generally visit T Blogs also are interested in knowing the traveler who then gets the responsibility of bonding with his viewers. Facts and information on places are out there, you can try giving travel posts and insight on your traveling style too. It will also develop your writing style and earn you your deserved place in the domain.
What I liked and loved about your blog
- First off, I loved the title of your blog. It, in itself gives some expectations of the blog content and you fulfill it by providing your takes on food, stay, going local, and the guide (from your viewpoint).
- Quality and appearance (regular and same size) of your photos.
- I read guide and places and found it very much complete and covers all the major aspects. It’s good information to know when you are totally alien to some place. You can probably try covering nightlife too (for people like me ).
- The categories and sub categories are very organized and make for a quick and easy navigation across your blog.
- Your content and simple writing is your key point. It’s very easy to read and gets the job done. Bravo!
That being said, it is a good to read and very informative blog, And I see some nice place you have done. Keep the spirit alive. Happy travels. :)
I am off to Falaknuma after reading your post.
Hi Jatin,
Thank you so much for taking the time to go through the blog review it so seriously. You've raised a lot of points that I hadn't even thought about, and I'm going to work hard at trying to improve on those from now.
I didn't know tagging helps with search engines (I usually add descriptions and meta tags etc to every post)
Aware of the frequency issue, (I really need to do something about it!!)
PS: Hope you enjoy Falaknuma! and lucky you, you get to have Hyderabadi Biryani whenever you want!!
Once again, thanks so much, this has been very useful!

Aah, damn. I see I made many grammatical/spelling mistakes in the review. Please excuse me.
Yeah, tagging does help. I'm counting on Falaknuma and yeah, think I'm lucky in that sense...
Hey, if you could provide reviews to my blog too from the eye of a travel blogger, it will be very helpful for me. Thank you. :)
You have a beautiful (read beaaautiful) blog! Supperb look and feel. Amazing pictures.
Thanks Nikhil. We've just done a complete redesign last month and taken a lot of Jatin's points into consideration.
Revati and Charles Victor,
If the current redesign of the blog is drawn from even a few points from my suggestions, I should apply for a Senior Consultant job somehwere directly and post this as an example. Haha!
I mean seriously, fundoo work with the blog. Absolutely love reading it. Would now be a more than frequent visitor, you see!:)
Actually on that point, I was trying to subscribe to your newsletter from the option on your About page, but couldn't do it somehow. It kept redirecting me to a 404. Please see to it, I hope it's something wrong with my machine. Thanks guys. Once again, super awesome work! :)
