You can add a background color / some themes instead of having it to be white.

You may want to remove the navbar to make your blog look better.
The header image is good.
You need to rearrange your widgets in the right sidebar so that the most important widgets appear on the top. For example, according to me, search box and follow by email widget should appear before others.
