good blog, nice content. good arrangement. Here are my suggestions:

• why does the ad pop up first on a post? it turns the reader off. Why not keep it in the middle
• If you could choose a little lighter shade of blue  that would be great. The template is great, its just the color. Blue is my favorite no doubt, but here it looks too too dark (i wrote "too" twice on purpose)
• Shift the "archives" section up or rather place a "recent/popular posts" section at the top right sidebar. It catches the readers attention.
