• Check out Chateau template and Bold Life templates offered by Wordpress :) Or even Z bench, and Comet templates. All are free to use and give you a header option which you can use to your advantage, creating a beautiful welcoming and appealing look to your blog title itself.
• I think so far, ur the only author on your blog :) so u dont need to have the authors widget. And even the calendar and meta also. All are widgets that u or ur readers dont peruse or use much :) And the no. of spam you get isn't something that people would love to see either.
• Archive a little nearer to the top of the sidebar. If you feel its taking up much space, u can shift to a drop down style archive too.
• Content is good, very straight forward. It looks good, can be even more better if its justified alignment than left alignment. :)
