Many Islamic theocracies such as Pakistan and Iran are banking on China for financial aid and political support. Countries like Turkey, where rabid Islamists like Recep Tayyip Erdogan are at the helm, are also extending support to China and its crackdown on Uighur Muslims. It is indeed an irony that the countries that accuse India of human rights violations in Kashmir remain silent on China’s brutal suppression of Uighur Muslims.
