August 2011: IndiRank upgraded with mozRank
Folks, we have a minor upgrade to IndiRank - and yes, it's out on time! 
Where's that Addy?!
We've incorporated mozRank into our algorithm, which means IndiRank will be more dynamic now. We've reduced the importance of Pagerank.
Many of you will see a dip in your ranks - not to worry, as it has dipped for most. Here are the stats, showing how this upgrade changed IndiRanks throughout IndiBlogger, as compared to July:
Blogs with an increase: 14%
Blogs with a decrease: 69%
Blogs with no change: 17%
Average increase in rank: 1.1
Average decrease in rank: 5.8
We've updated the IndiRank page to give a better explanation on how IndiRank works. The other features discussed on the forum will be incorporated in the next upgrade.

They have added mozRank also which has resulted in difference!!
My rank not that it matters much is 30 and I know it shall not go beyond this mark simply because Flickr is not considered a blog site like Blogspot , Wordpress etc I am happy that my 3 month old grand daughter I am teaching her to hold the camera since one month .. is ranked 51 it gives me joy and Marziya Shakir 3 and a half year old has yet to get Indi Blogger rank is the finest photographer she shoots on the Nikon D 80..as a father I had no time for my kids did not teacht them anything.. I am now making up making my grand kids photographers I blog on their behalf..

Even Though I've been on Indiblogger since probably a month, I don't have a Mozrank, how can I change that?
I just cant figure as to how my Indirank is coming down inspite of the fact that nowadays the traffic to my blog is roughly around 2000 per month since July (before that it traffic was less than 1000 & my Indirank was in 60s)...but since then it has come down from 70 to 54 & now its 49 in September..Can someone plesase tell me why this is happening

I blog via Flickr , I refuse to cross blog my Flickr blogs to Blogspot , bt I am hapy for once that my grand daughter Nerjis Asif Shakir only 2 month old ranks better than me ..she is 51
I am 30..this encourages me and I hope you reinstate Marziya Shakirs blogs at Indi Blogger .. for a change I am learning or rather unlearmimg photography from Marziya Shakir..

I gained one point this month to 69.. I got a google rank now but my alexa rank keeps decreasing (increasing in this sense)
I keep getting this error message when I check my Indirank. "You will have to wait for the next IndiRank update to view stats for this blog."

A new entrant here on Indiblogger and my first rank is 48. Not sure if it is a good rank for a new entrant. But, no issues. Happy to be a part of the community Cheers to the Indiblogger team . Keep up the good work guys

Fell from 76 to 61... but that's not my concern.
My concern is, it shows my mozrank as 0 when it's actually 2.8...... that's affected my indirank and i don't like it at all.
Don't worry Rank in your dashboard is the old one. Moz rank is almost dynamic, updates regularly.
i feel awful. From 70-48 is a big dip. Have been consoling my sore self ever since. That advice of not to worry doesn't seem to work right now.Makes me feel like quitting blogging once and for all...but hey what will i do then??? Clueless amd very

hey, dont get sad about a low indirank. The rank depends a lot on seo and sometimes even great quality blogs get average ranks. Take it positively and keep blogging, cheers :)
actually i dont care much about the indirank as it doesnt affect us in any way but my posts wont gain much popularity in the indivine..... its really difficult to see well written posts being unnoticed in indivine!!.....
or u can detach the indirank criteria for rating of indivine posts..... there will be hundreds of reasons for not keeping the blog active for a month or two but its difficult to see the posts being neglected!!....
