RSS is Really Simple Syndication. If you have subscribed to any particular webpage using RSS feeds then whenever the webpage is updated it is autommatically notified to you. For using RSS feeds you need to have a RSS feed reader. The update is visible to you in the feed reader just as there is a new mail in your mail box.
