Anybody from Jaipur here? Need help to plan my trip :)
Dear Indies, I will be visiting Jaipur this weekend. thought I could make use of your knowledge to plan my trip more effective. Appreciate your suggestions interms of :
1. Must do and must visit places around
2. Things that can be given a skip :)
3. Travel suggestions wrt local commute
Of course, if any Jaipur bloggers wanna meet me up, feel free to get in touch!
Been there numerous times myself...
Dont miss the Govind Dev Ji temple, its a must visit - its "THE" temple of Jaipur!!
Besides there are numerous forts like the Amer fort, City palace, Nahargarh fort, Jal Mahal (only from outside)... Though I have visited them all, I haven't yet blogged about them... But my personal favorite is the Amer Fort!
Travel in the ricks but beware of what they quote... and why only travel, bargain is everywhere in Jaipur!! Bargain hard or else you will be taken for a ride...
If you are spending a full day there hire a private car - that will be best and cheap too!

Mehandi you can get best out there,
jaipuria razaai, extremely light weight ones in front of hawa mahal,
saphires stones etc. from johari bazzaar.
I will be there this weekend Pramod. Sure, I will consider that but not sure if I would have enough time to travel 6 hrs in to and fro.
have a pleasant trip. one more thing, any conveyance that you take, do not purchase anything from where he takes you. hefty commissions they get.
I just learned from Arti's blog that the bargaining could save as much as 75%!!!
