This Blog is a photlog of my journey as a person, as a techie, as a photographer, roaming around the world, looking for the unseen, clicking to create memories, learning en-route.
hope you'll find this interesting.
Please Link back if you do.
well i find the photo blog nicely formatted unlike others, secondly you have uploaded mixture of good photos and below average ones, which camera are you using please mention the same. I believe the room for improvement is plenty dear.
Hi Umesh,
Thanks for the hones critique, I am an amateur photographer, just learning the trade :).
But yes, I could have had shot some better clicks especially in terms of light and composition.
Currently, I am using a Panasonic Lumix FZ18, but vouching to switch soon to a semi Pro Canon 60D body.
If you could find some time to comment and suggest improvements on individual shots, I would definitely take a re shot of them with due considerations .
Lovely site. The black BG goes well as it does with typical photography blogs/websites.
The photograph titled Morning Raaga is the best of them all. It's a well framed shot with the concept of 'leading lines' used. Nice tones too.
Myrtle Summers is a good candid shot. You could tilt and adjust the photo correctly for an improved look as the frame looks a bit tilted wrongly.
School chalein is a well framed shot. Good selection of subject. The background of the photo , however is overexposed.
Again excellent framing for Deepawali 2010 photo.
The cross processed image looks a bit artificial for my liking. Vignette is something that would look good only in certain instances. This is however a subjective take. You could search and download standard cross process effects for Adobe from the net and then further tweak them to your satisfaction.
Keep going dude !
Thanks a ton Midhun , Your comments are very encouraging, and led me to have a second insight at existing clicks.
I second your opinion on Cross processes image, and I am not much of a processing guy , but this particular image was very flat with a good concept and composition , so i had to hide my mistake by vignette and processing.
I would definitely take care of the tilted frame, many people have reported the same on my clicks, so that has to be top priority for me.
I am going through a photographers block right now, so better utilise it via Reading and concept building :)
Thanks Again.
