Dear friends,

 

A whole bunch of interesting articles (in Bengali and English) were published on our July issue. Topics ranging from the "Bongo-Bhango" (Partition of Bengal 1905 ), the later partition of 1947, the role of East Bengali refugee women and the rise of the Bengali middle class working women, personal memoirs relating to the partition, a book review of "Amar Fnashi Chai" by Matiur Rahman Rentu, Literary essays on Humayun Ahmed's immortal character Himu, and a postmortem of the works of Amitav Ghosh, and also parts of series-articles on the Morichjhanpi genocide, East Bengali cuisine and recipes, and Comrade Saroj Dutta.
