PagreRank drop for wordpress blogs?
In my observation, found that a number of bloggers who are using wordpress have a dip in their Google page rank this time. Are you one of them?
Another question I have - Does PageRank still carry any weight in the new 'Caffeine' of Google?

The drop in page rank is only due to the fact that backlinks have decreased from last time when google allotted page rank.
It has happened to one of my non wordpress site too. The site is built in zencart ecommerce system.http://lustrejewel.com , this site had a PR of 3 and not it is 0, surprising but true.
BTW, can you help me find the rror with my feed on wordpress. I have posted a thread on IndiForum about it.

Humm.. I reckon, it has got nothing to do with Wordpress guys.
As we all understand, atleast more than 100 blogs gets created everyday, with this rate - the ranking mechanism and the logic.. definitely gets modified. When I spoke to a Google Guy, he said that.. the ranking and indexing algorithm almost gets refined everyday!
Linking yourself to a top blogger / website, definitely helps. You get his credit towards you and there is nothing wrong in it. Trust me, not all guys would love to exchange links 'just like that'. You rather write a better article.. which makes him to refer to your piece. That way, your PR is sure to go up!

Btw.., Has Google updated the PRs today? I guess, the new ranks haven't reached my blog yet.

I realize, PR6 is very very difficult to get..! So thats the next step to look ahead.
Seems like Google is getting back on those who do not use their product............................ummm......or work for them! 
Mine dropped to almost nothing overnight. No changes of mine, just the sudden drop.
I use wordpress too and didn't find any problem with Google page rank. Are those people who experienced the page rank drop using any specific plugins or other techniques to artificially boost their page ranks? or did it happen after they upgraded the WP to 3.0?
