WHY DO YOU BLOG ?
Hello fellow blogger pals!!
First, its wonderful to be amongst you all. Indiblogger rocks!!
Now about the topic. I was wondering Why do we like to blog ? What makes us write articles, poem, reviews and pictures and receipes and all ?
For me, blogging means expression, speaking out, pouring my heart and soul out and connecting with people like me, finding people who are passionate about expression, and then interacting with them and getting some genuine comments and feed backs. Blogging is therapy for me. It has made me a happier person deep within.
What's your story? Is it passion for expression, fame by getting the "blogger of the month award", getting more promotions to posts, better connections and else making money by adsense etc? What is it that draws u to this world of blogging ? We are no bigwigs whom the whole nation wants to read, we are no famous bollywood actors, who will make the people swoon.... then what is it that made u create and then go whole hog doing templates, widegets and regular posts... to your blog?
Please tell me dear, I am curious!!
Reason: spelling error
addy and his wit i think he is suffering from the block we discussed about thats why after the girls :P ...get rid of the block soon bro :P :D ;)
lol...good luck to that...
dear restless
thanks for reaching out and connecting!
As you said ,Blogging indeed is such a therapeutic pastime.Even when we don't have business goals or pretensions to being famous writers,we all need to have our say.Even when few people read our blogs and we don't crash blog nomination records, the act of putting it all on the web is a great way for us to showcase our honest feelings,skills,interests-infact our whole personality.
And I feel that bloggers are a great community-always encouraging and connecting to your thoughts-which sometimes does not really happen with real life people.
Infact one reason I started to blog was I felt very misunderstood by people around me due to my interest in fitness and nutrition. They assumed I am on a perpetual diet and want to emulate the starlets.
Whereas for me fitness is about finding the untapped potential of my physical abilities and enhancing them to be strong -from inside-out.
Varsha,
I think you're correct. We all have our passions in life, but often the people around us don't share them and we tend to bore/irritate them if that is all we ever talk about. In a blog, the people likely to be reading are the people likely to care. We are exposed to somewhat less judgmental people. We can follow what we love without caring whether other people care, because after all if they don't care they can refrain from reading, right?
If I gave impromptu book reviews to people all the time I think I would have been very, very unpopular. :) However, I want to share my love with people - and I think this is a great way.
Totally. :)
Hey,
I blog not to give a form to my feelings, neither do I write a blog to get famous midst my pals. Blogging is one of my hobbies. I listen to music because it eases my tension and believe or not, Blogging takes the load off my shoulders. Whenever I feel stressed out, I think of my blog and phew! everythin flies away! Does it happen to you guys too?
bye,
Swe.
Oh yes Swetha! i am completely in love with my blog!! Finding a medium to express myself has made me happy and content. I am mostly thinking what shall I write next?! In fact, sometimes, i am talking to myself dictating the whole article in my mind! Its de-stressing, its a friend who hears u out without judging u, and then u have readers, followers, commenting about what u write, its a huge huge encourgement. I thoroughly enjoy it!
Bonding is perk of blogging! I have a bond with the whole indiblogger team! Come to think of it I didn't even know these people existed few months back and now I am parting with them! It feels awesome! Indiblogger has a special place in my heart!
Truly Addy! simply writing ur blog would have been boring had there not been this sharing part of it..... it amazing to think.... i will repeat ur words '" I didn't even know these people existed few months back and now I am interacting with them and lookign forward to their comments and their posts. It feels awesome!

well tanu di and others here i totally agree blogging without sharing is just like writing in your journal you know what you have written, you know where it is kept, for the rest its a introvert writing and scribbling on pages, people are just so judgmental bout others appearance others behavior and all i wish some they will take a look at their self and judge themselves....and so far blogging is concerned i blog coz i choose too, and for those who think this ain't something serious well guys i think you need to watch out some saas bahu soap then...................

Hi Raja Indrajit, am glad u liked the topic! sure will c ur blog.
I used to write diary and make scrap books since 10yrs old.....always hid them under my bed and between my clothes, those looked like the safest place on earth at that point of time...ha ha ha....now I just do it online....
I am a person with lots of unspoken emotions, desires, needs and wants but blogging makes it all possible for me. When I blog, I am unaltered!! Ranjini is what you see in my blogs!
hi ranjini Kalidass! i
must say wow! We are so much alike.
I had been writing hindi poetry for years, on pieces of paper here and there, and then collected them in a diary and I hid that diary from all the world. Those were my emotions poured in the ink. Then, some day a friend suggested me to blog, my world changed since then. But unlike u, I still have inhibitions, and am taking time to speak my heart out.
but, really nice to hear ur side of the story! shall check ur blog soon dear!

so sweet! thanks!
I started blogging 5 years ago when i felt I needed some forum to express my thoughts and also to share the many poems i wrote. Soon, it became a way for me to stream line the million thoughts i had in my head and it has helped me evolve as a writer. I cherish a dream of becoming a published author someday.
Hi Harini ! just visited ur blog ! Its nice that u incorporate your daily thoughts, thinking aloud as u call it into it. a ncie way to channelize ur thoughts and feelings.
