New main Category Spirituality

Hi Indiaspirituality,

You are being too self centered when you want to change religion to spirituality. Do not forget India is a big country composed of several religions.

Just a thought - I dont think Religion should be classified under spirituality - in most online nomenclature, 'Religion & Spirituality' or 'Religion & Culture' comes under 'Society'.

Also, it is not nessary that one needs to be religious in order to be spiritual.

Spirituality, according to me does no mean any particular religion. I think spirituality can cover more topics including religion than religion alone.

If religion cannot be classified under spirituality, then I prefer your suggestion, 'Religion and Spirituality' - i think it is better suggestion than mine

Most of the directories do not focus on spirituality and so they categorize it under, 'society', 'self improvement', 'life style', 'culture', etc.

i only wanted it to be a main category. With the help of others indiblogger friends, more better title for main and sub-categories can be found.

Being religious does not mean to be an orthodox or being engaged in rituals or not being modern or practical.

Saints have developed religion, so that spirituality can be incorporated in daily life, for those people who does not want to live for liberation but want to be spiritual.

Religion makes it easy to understand spirituality (which was once a back-bone of society) and opens the doors for spirituality. Both are ways or living and difficult to separate.

Anyways, this is a never ending topic and a separate discussion can be provoked.
