Writing Bengali in blogs and on the internet

In the course of experimenting with Bengali writing on the internet, we recently came across this excellent online application to write and convert conventional Bangla text to unicode. This is system independent and works seamlessly as long as you download any unicode Bengali font. The integrated application offers various choices, including a phonetic bengali tool, and the keyboards are supplied as well.

Check it out:Murshed's Unicode layout and converter 2.1.0 Alpha 1

We wanted to share this with all you Bengali enthusiasts out there! Hope it's useful.

Thanks team, am sure this will be useful for all the Bengali bloggers - unfortunately you guys are the only ones on IndiBlogger! Smile Where are the others?

BTW, http://ekushey.org/ is doing similar work and provides keyboard layouts and fonts too.

@Renie

I am sure there will be more Bengali blogs here in near future. :-) There are many on the internet, for sure, only that all of them may not be aware of this wonderful platform of Indiblogger.

@Sandip

Thanks for the ekushey link. :-) It is especially of use to Mac users, for whom other options (like Avro keyboard) are limited. The one good thing we like about Murshed's online application is that it is independednt of the operating system you are using. So is ekushey, I suppose.
