Looking for feedback on my personal blog

I suggest you to bring more humor to your postings, which can attract more readers. Otherwise it looks quite nice.

1. The look and feel: The post area and the widget area of your blog are the best parts of the page. The banner though, needs some work as part of the blog title and the tagline are lost in the white background. About the tabs on the top, I would suggest adding some content to the "about" part and renaming the "posts" tab to RSS because that is what it points to. The "contact" tab also needs to have your email address.

2. The widgets: Perfectly selected, it's just that the placement could be more organized. But, I think you should be ok with what you have.

3. The content:  Looks good. I liked "Buzzing to silence", glad you chose to continue. "the month that is" made me laugh because Irwing or plano can have mean winters. Anyways, only advice is to keep blogging.
