basically its a rare mix of traditional and liberal modern view...
the solid red backdrop look monotonous which makes your blog boring to look at. Your content is good so lets see a more lively blog!
the chitaka ad at the bottom of the page is invisible unless someone goes right to the bottom.. consider moving it to the sidebar

1. The look and feel: The red background looks a little too dull in comparision to the white foreground. It also makes the foreground look very bright and the characters less visible. I would suggest some investigation into color theory 
2. The widgets: Perfectly selected, it's just that the placement could be more organized. But, I think you should be ok with what you have.
3. The content: Looks good but, like I said the look and feel of the blog just shoo'ed me away. And, maybe atleast one post every two weeks would be nice.
