I like your blog's layout. The post previews in the homepage, the blog header all looks right. 

Few suggestions:

  1. The colors in your blog doesn't attract that much. Particularly the background yellow. (Maybe Its a personal choice but I feel that to be distracting)
  2. All your categories are listed as a single drop down in the "Home" tab in the Blog header section. Maybe you can segregate them in a better way and have more tabs.
  3. You can make use of the sidebar more. Maybe add more widgets and let people know more about you and your blog.
