Yes, I too use Yoast SEO plugin, and it does help to tune your pages. But how much help does it make in success of your page? Not sure. As others mentioned, content is the king. but, if others in the internet do not know there is a page with good content, how can you have this read by others? This is where SEO helps. So, its not one or the other - its always both.

Yoast SEO Plugin is the best choice for SEO for every blog.  Every blogger needs to understand Yoast SEO and put keywords accordingly.

In my view the content matirial of blog and the focus keyword can make a good role to find a good ranking in google search engine.

For instance : if a blogger writes a unique content which is not availabe on internet elsewhere. This content will be rank in first position in google without making a good SEO.

Never bothered about SEO. Have been approached by a few professional SEO specialists who were charging a hefty amount... how can an unemployed writer pay so much for whatever they do? My blog is still swimming merrily and I guess what matters is how well and how frequently you write.

We have body and soul and both of them complement each other. Body without soul is dead, similarly, SEO and blog complement each other. Here, Blog is like body and SEO is like soul. B for Blog & Body as well as S for SEO and Soul. If SEO is not done on your blog then your blog is dead as you won't have organic visitors for your content. This is the simplest way that I can tell you about SEO and Blog.

The idea is to use relevant keywords. More is always not better. Search engine algorithms are updated on regular basis. Stick with using the relevant keywords to your content.

SEO, an acronym for Search Engine Optimization, helps web pages (and that includes our blog posts too) getting searched by some of the popular search engines.

You must have Googled something. Ever wondered how do you get the search results from Google? What Google does is that its search engine bots crawl webpages spread across the known part of the world wide web, read the content, provide a ranking to the page based on the relationship of the keywords, content within the page and a couple of other factors to decide upon which page should be served at the top of the search results when a user searches for a particular keyword.

SEO helps search engines "index" your pages, rank it according to the relevance of your page's content according to a keyword and it's algorithm decides which page to be displayed at the top of the search results. It is said that if your page doesn't appear in the first two pages of Google search results for popular keywords, your page  isnot good enough.
