Goodbye HAL 9001, hello Caprica-Six
Two years ago, we migrated from the server IndiBlogger started on (Deep Thought) to the current server (Hal 9001). As some of you know, IB has had some downtime of late, and so we're moving to a new home - to a server that is at least twice as powerful as the current one.
So sometime after midnight, after all the contests have closed, we're going to go offline for a while, write a break-up letter to Hal 9001, take all of our stuff back, and head over to the warm embrace of Caprica-Six.
We may have a few early-relationship issues to iron out over the next few days, so don't be surprised if IB acts a bit silly, and as always, please report any bugs you might find!

Renie Looks like you need to upgrade shrinktheweb subscription. Blog thumbnails on IB member profile pages are showing 'Daily limit exceeded' error.

Ahh... I had an entire day of no show, landing up on the steps of the older server. 
Asked for help from Renie and this morning before I could do anything instructed by him, Indi and I got back together.

Caprica Six? You mean the lady who was behind the operation that lead to planet-wide nuclear attack and utter destruction of the entire colonial fleet, which eventually lead to a group of people search for a new home and by the time they did, they were reduced to a population of 30K!!!!

I am replying this on mobile DS...I am able to....try clearing cookies and cache...it usually works for me. .

Not receiving email updates of tracking threads. Is it something to do with changed server??

Adding to what you said, Meghana, no updates as to who's adding us to their network or voting for our posts, either. Hope this gets sorted soon.
I had a couple of Network adds and quite a lot of votes coming my way, this afternoon.
That way, I know the notification system on IB isn't hale and hearty.
I tried refreshing my inbox before adding to what you'd notified here, Meghana.
Just received an email for a network addition.
Seems like IB is coming back on track!

I don't think there was any issue with the network emails, but the IndiVine vote alerts and forum tracking alerts are working now. Thanks for the heads-up!

The new one is more powerful than the old one - more ram, more space etc.
Don't ask me what those names mean. Only Renie knows!

Microsoft's bing bot has been crawling IB and slowing us down over the last few days... even after we told it to slow down! 
I am an insomniac and No IB in the night would be a tough time for me...But Its ok--Indi-Owl 
What would you do in IB at nights? There's hardly anyone on IT at that time
