Your posts are very good.I mean your writing style is nice.It can keep a reader on yourr blog for quite some time.
But you are using a default blogger template.It will be better if you change it.Try to add a few more gadgets on the sidebars.

abt the dates .. they actually show up .. there is a star above each post which carries the date .. although a few people have complained that it doesn't show up everytime ..
suggest widgets .. i have got no clue man ..
Hmm...still no date. I've tried with both Firefox and IE. Re widgets, for starters you could put the Indiblogger badge 
Apart from that, things like 'recent posts' or 'top commenters' or a map of visitors is generally good. You could google them and find them or if you see them on someone else's blog, it should be able to link you to the source.

A great man named George Carlin once said, "The rich keep all the money, pay none of the taxes. The middle class pay all the taxes, do all of the work. The poor are there just to scare the **** out of the middle class." Your first post, "The Indian Train Journey" reminded me a lot about him, his perspective on things and his obervational insight on everything. I really liked the next few posts that followed as well. When I thought of giving your blog a read, for a review, i had planned to read a few posts and then throw in my 2 cents. It has just come to my attention that I have to throw in half a dollar now, considering I almost read it til the end, before which my attention span kicked in and I decided to do something else. That aside, I must say that I have been happy to join Indiblogger, so many talented writers out here, you included, and I'm just spoilt for choice.
I really liked your template. Very cool. May I ask where you got your interactive label widget? I've been trying to get my hands on those for quite a while.. heh.
Looking forward to reading a lot more.Do drop by my blog if you are ever in the mood for some eclectic randomness.
