New contest people!
http://www.indiblogger.in/topic.php?topic=96
Note: You'll notice a line in the sidebar about the taxes. We spoke to WeChat, and this only applies to the winner of the first prize. If the winner of the first prize does not wish to pay the tax for the TV, he/she can get the prize value of the TV (after deduction) as cash.
Another drool-maal from Indiblogger .. ..
Is the LED TV of Samsung or Sony ???
Hoping to write even better blog than what I wrote for Dabur ..
After seeing this contest one thing I can say for sure is that - WeChat is very popular among bloggers....Thanks WeChat.....
This is a very gud topic .. social media and mobiles apps r doing a great job be it whatsapp or wechat .. I liked this subject.. will sure write something :)
Finally a Topic on my cup of Tea! hehe.. 'We Chat' never came to my mind as an application, until I read 5th line of contest rules again
Please could I know if there is any restriction on the language? Does it have to be in English only? Is it ok if all of us can submit in any regional language too? Won't that reach out to a larger base of voters and truly make this contest worthwhile? It won't be just another contest but a very useful one with the goal to create a change in the minds of apathetic voters. The jury could take the help of a translator of the particular language to understand the entry. Would that be feasible?
As no language is mentioned on the contest page, you can write your post in any language. This is true for all IB contests.
i think you can
can anyone tell what are the rules of this competiton? I mean how to write? how many words we can go for? and we have to writeabout pre existing apps only?
The contest rules are mentioned on the contest page on the right.
Publish your entry on your blog and submit the link to that blog post on the contest page.
how many words we can go for?
There is no word limit.
we have to writeabout pre existing apps only?
You can write in general about using social apps or specific existing apps. Writing about existing ones is better. But as the rules mention nothing about it, I think you can include your imaginary apps also.
Just saw the modified page. I believe it is very mature from WeChat's part too. Respect!
Nothing much, I saw the modified things just now :P
What is the prize value of the TV (after deducting) as cash. Please...
around 70k i think,,,not sure tthough
I think 30% tax will be deducted
Section 194B - Winning from lotteries etc. to any person - 30% - link
NOt sure though...
i guess they'll deduct it...i dont mind 70k cash..its something too.................................but the topic is
I don't want 70k prize cause that would take me into higher income bracket
Then give it to me :D
No
i dont wanna ever pay anything... evern my own shopping...hahahah
then you dont have to earn too
right... hehehe.
yekin paapi pet ka sawaal hai..
smart smart Ranjith
Better think of deadline as today and now extended to 30.Feel relief now.
thinking of the deadline, but stillno meat for the content coming up.
The new T&C says that winners have to bear the TDS..Hmmm first of its kind in Indiblogger.
whoever wins, be ready with DD of 33% of the total cost
elsethey can just take the 70k.. and not the gift.
quite complex
I think its aplicable on all..we recently did an iPadmini contest giving 10+iPadmini for nothing.
My brand team must be still hating me as I have written off that activity a "waste" and said that we should not ask TDS from winners as Indiblogger doesn't :P

I googled i padmini and found the answer
Oops it was iPadMini...
Didn't knew Ranjith wud be sooo dumb, founded by google
Is it ! I have to read the T and C's
and why is the date preponed from 31st to 30th !
i think it was always 30th
Narendra Modiji and BJP has stolen the hashtag #VoteForIndia...
That is what I was wondering when I searched for it few days back to see if anyone has tweeted for the twitter contest
I wrote 2 tweets 3 or 4 days back What should I do? @Ranjith any suggestions?
@ Aditya I think we can continue using #VoteForIndia hashtag. We have an option for adding our twitter account to our IndiBlogger account. ( which you have already added ) So, while deciding the winners, IB can consider only those tweets which have originated from a twitter account added to an IBProfile. This is just my opinion.
To be on the safe side, as Heena suggested, you can add @indiblogger and @wechat to your tweets. But we will be left with too few characters for the actual message
add indiblogger and wechat to the tweets...
