Professional Help Needed

Hi,

I'm working on a short story now and I just want someone who is very good at English to scan it for any grammatical errors/corrections/usage of better or appropriate phases wherever applicable.

Thanks

Sharma

In my opinion, when it comes to grammar, nothing works like a human mind. These stupid programs do not understand complex sentences. Also, they are programmed to show passive sentences, which writers do use in their story narration, as the incorrect ones.

I agree with you about the softwares' correction of passive sentences. Very irksome indeed.

Also, these programs do not realize if the articles like "a," "an," and "the" are correctly used or missed where needed.

I never tried Wren and Martin. Is it a good one to start with?

many times the green/red lines still exist though they dont give suggestion in WORD specially...some silly fragments missing or something like that/// faded msg pops up

@NS, if you want to learn the proper usage of articles, then yes. It's a very comprehensive book. Also, if you are a grammar ****, like me, you should try Terry O'Brien's books on grammar. The series have a title of "Little Red Book."

PS: I always carry his book on punctuations in my tote bag. Smile

No ND. In fact, the books are quite slim and the content is condensed. My book on punctuations has 128 pages and it's quite a small one in size too. I have Wren & Martin at home. I use it when I have some confusion. But I do carry around this punctuation book as it comes handy in my work when I want to show the rules to my writers Smile
